I'm really tired. where does all this energy come from??
So, I'm a working momma. Julia is 13 months and I'm back to work full time 5 days a week with an hour commute each way- plus dropping her off and picking her up from her sitter's. At the end of the day when we get home it's all about her; and after she goes to sleep I get back to work until at least 11PM or 12AM. Then up again at 6AM to do it all over again! And I try to keep my house from looking like a grenade went off in it- and try to keep the fridge stocked. My DH doesn't get home from work until, 10/11ish. He owns a business.
all i have to say is, i'm very grateful for vitamins w/ extra B's!!
anyone care to share a daily day?
Whew, you make me sleepy!
I get up at 5:45am. I pump for 30 minutes then help get the kids fed and ready to leave. My husband leaves with John (11 months) around 7am at which point I shower and get myself ready. I take Emma (4) to preschool/daycare around 8am and then head to work until 4pm. I pick Emma up and head home to wait for my husband and John to arrive shortly after 5pm. We figure out dinner and try to have it on the table no later than 6. After dinner, my husband heads to the basement to practice drums and I play with the kids and/or start their baths. My husband finishes bathing Emma while I get John ready for bed and nurse him one last time. Once he's asleep, my husband and I spend some alone time with Emma before she goes to bed. After that, we either catch up on television shows or I fall asleep!
I can't believe how long your day is! I would never make it. I'm lucky if I can make it until 10pm and sometimes I'll fall asleep before Emma does. Thank goodness for weekends! That's where my energy comes from.
Its good to know I am not the only one. I get up at 6a.m. to run for 30 minutes. Hubby leaves at 7am on certain days to work. I pack my lunch for the day and run upstairs to get the three kids (6, 2.5 and 1) dressed/groomed/diaper changed and ready for breakfast. I get myself ready for work and get everyone downstairs. I try to come up with a creative nutritious breakfast within 10 minutes flat LOL. I try to remember book bags, lunch cards, formula, extra diapers for sitter, take out the meat I am going to cook for dinner to defrost, my lunch, my breakfast, my briefcase and walk out the door. I drop the two kids off to the sitter and one to school. I have to make it to work by 9am which can be a miracle sometimes with traffic. I work until 6:30 most days and Hubby picks up kids from sitter/school. I try to whip up dinner in 30 minutes and we try to eat by 7:30pm at the latest. 6 year old does homework with hubby while I cook. Thank god the sitter provides a mini-dinner at 4pm. By 8pm everyone is upstairs getting ready for bed/bath/story reading/feeding goldfish/feeding hamster/feeding dogs. Finally..by 8:30pm everyone is in bed and I can do wonderful chores like laundry, washing dishes, etc.
I agree...thank god for vitamins!
