I'm Tired of Water!

Quote  |  Reply

I have been drinking 8 - 10 glasses since January and I'm sick of it.  I'm tired of constantly going to the bathroom and water is just getting on my nerves.  The only good thing is that at first it did curb my appetite, but it doesn't even seem to be doing that anymore.  Any suggestions?

get those little crystal lite flavor packets to put in your water.  It won't help the b.r.  problem but maybe it will make water a little more bearable  :-)
Try the lightly flavored waters like Dasani lemon or Nestle Pure Life Orange Splash.
Buy green tea bags, boil pan of water (I never measure how much), once the water comes to a boil drop in 3-4 bags of tea, turn off heat and put on lid. After ten minutes or so, put in pitcher, add water, chill. I like to put splenda or lemon in mine. Nice alternative to water and green tea speeds up metabolism (or so they say! Lets hope they are right!)

I don't think you should 'force' yourself to get 8-10 glasses of water a day. Just drink when you're thirsty. But that's me.

Other options: I sometimes like making limeade with iced water, a squeeze of lime, and some sugar alternative. I use Crystal Light too, but I personally prefer fresh lemon or lime juice.

Try gum for curbing your appetite? Diet coke works for me, really effectively, but it causes me to bloat.

Okay, in the past, I have recommended the crystal light or 4c mixes because they taste really good and have between 0 - 5 calories.  However, I have found something that I like even better...  The Special K 2O product is available in either pre-mixed or powder form.  The mix has 3 flavors -- iced tea, pink lemonade and strawberry kiwi.  They do have about 30 calories per serving however, here is the great part -- they also contain 5grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein!  They help you feel full much more than plain water will.

I have a new love.  True Lemon.  It is little packets of crystallized lemon, lime and orange.  It makes my water bearable.  You can go to www.truelemon.comto find out where it can be purchased near you.

You won't feel tired of water when you're thirsty. o.O; Maybe try drinking only when you're hungry and thirsty?

What I do.. is to ONLY quench my thirst using water. Diet coke, tea, or juice is an extra, or a treat. Very often I will have a long sip of water right before a meal, and water to wash it down, and then savor the flavored drink afterward.

Hello Everyone! Smile

I drink alot of water. It my favorite drink! But...there are times that even for me, when water can taste blah.

Sometimes to make it taste better I add a capful of lemon juice. I like lemon, so for me that is an easy antidote. I have tried the flavored packets, too. Or, I like the Sam's Club/Walmart drinks. Key Lime is my favorite! Or, I have club soda as is, or with lemon juice. But...I always go back to water. It's The Best!!! Crytal Light is good too! For a change of pace.

I feel my best when I do drink 8 - 8oz glasses a day, or more sometimes. It flushes the body and kidneys real well! To me, that really is not a tremendous amount of water. Only 64oz total. People drink more than that in soda or other beverages easily. There are many alternatives to seek. Check 'em all out!!! Smile

Try not to give up your water entirely. Like I do, just take a break from it for a day or so. You will see that it will actually taste refreshing again...ha!

(((My mother used to tell me that the reason why water gets to be displeasing to our taste buds, is because we have lost too much potassium. From drinking TOO much water. When the potassium is replenished. The taste buds will be receptive. Which makes the water taste good again. Made sense to me. Because the process seems to be clear on it!!! If she was not fully accurate. I don't think she was too far off. WinkWink)))

Oh yes, I have now learned to enjoy Diet Green Iced Tea with Lemon, that I make myself. Taste better than Lipton's. It also taste very good heated. Very soothing to go to bed on, or when feeling ill.

Sounds like you have a drinking problem!

Seriously, though. Stop drinking so much water!  You don't need that much.

I agree!  I fell in love with True Lemon.  I especially like adding the True Lime to my water.  It's good for you too!

I know you can request free samples on their website.. I think it's worth trying if you like citrus flavors..

Try some lemon juice in your water.. It will add some flavor to your water and to me it is far better than the crystal light flavorings. Lemon juice works well if you hate the taste of artificial sweeteners.
i like to make a big batch of homemade flavored water, i got this idea from an article in shape magazine.

in a large pourable container add a cup of chopped strawberries or raspberries or another fruit you like to plain water. chill for 24 hours and take out the pieces of fruit (they turn a weird color after their flavor is out and in the water). and voila! so yummy and no sweeteners or artificial colors! just a little bit of natural sugar from the fruit!
All I know, is that I never thought that drinking 8-10 glasses of water was true....and I ended up with kidney stones so now I drink LOTS of water! LOL!
I agree with the lemon lovers,,, only instead of true lemon packets,,, i squeeze fresh lemons and put juice in a plastic container,,  and just put a little bit in my water,,  figure its better for you,,  all natural,,   and getting the all the natural vitamin c in it too,,      &nbs p;  and also sometimes i put more lemon juice to make lemonade,,, and add stevia,,   a herbal sugar,,,   a really satisfying drink .
I like cucumber water.  Just add a few slices of cucs to the water while its chilling.  Minimal cals and makes the water "crisper".  No artificial sweetners

I like to cut a lemon or an orange up, squeeze the juice into my water and leave the pieces floating in the water...great boost of vitamin C.
