Im a slim guy and im trying to muscle up. Ive been gaining a lot of weight lately because of my high calorie diet. My worry is that I dont wanna get too much fat in the wrong places but i still wanna gain.

I was thinking about running on the treadmill about2 or 3 times a week to strengthen and help build my legs and increase lung capacity but im worried thats gonna stop my weight gain. Is is harder to build muscle mass at a decent pace if Im doing that much cardio? or does it not matter.

I also like how my face has gotten rounder lol im worried running is gonna make it look skinny again.

Any advice for me?

Firstly, if you're new to this process at all be aware in the first two or so weeks you retain a lot of water thanks to caloric increases. Secondly, I strongly suggest against cardio if you are of a BMI of 18.5 or less. However, if you are a decent way above this then a little cardio won't hurt you. Just make sure, if you intend on gaining, you eat back what you burn on those days else you may well find you do lose.

I know what you mean about face roundness coming back, haha. I finally got some colour back in my cheeks at a healthier weight.
