hi there, im 169cm tall and my weight is 56kgs. i would love to gain weight to 65kg. can you please help me?? thank you :)

I would actually really love some help...

Im 19 years old, and 5'6"... When im at school i work out 4-6 times a week with about 35-40 min on the elliptical, plus walking to my classes, and about 15-20 min of weight training..  My goal weight is about 126..after thanksgiving i weighed 128 lbs, right now since i have been doing horribly with my diet for about a week straight, I'm up to like 135-136..  but not only am i getting discouraged since i was so close to my goal, but im also paranoid bc idk how much of that is actual weight gain....I have been getting at least some exercise every day over vacation tho.

but if you have any tips on A. getting back to my previous weight once the holidays are over with, and B. about how much i should eat in a day to maintain that weight?  I would reeeally appriciate it.

I want to GAIN weight. I am recovering from anorexia. I am 5'6.5", 20 years old, and used to weight 120-130. Got down to 93 with the anorexia and am back up to about 105. However, I want to get back to 120 like I was before! I have been doing yoga and light handweights to build muscle, and have cut out my cardio almost completely (used to do running, dancing, etc etc).

Any tips would be appreciated. I want to gain another 10 pounds by August, if possible, for when I go back to school for my senior year of college!

it is definitely possible, NO CARDIO. just walking, and try to minimize that as much as possible, and if you need to be active then do resort to ONLY WALKING. not speed walking, not walking to burn calories, but just as a form of meditation. do YOGA to relax and ease the tension.

EAT!! the foods you love and miss. don't think about it too much, allow yourself the indulgences that used to be part of your every day diet but ED stripped away from you, for me that means pirates booty, cheese, crackers, ice cream, nuts, dips, hummus, and anything else calorific that "normal people" eat. if need be just eat whatever your mom eats, tell her to make her and your plate exactly the same, and don't pay it much mind. is your mom overweight? if not then this is the perfect way to ease the anxiety about food, if she can eat normally and not gain weight then you can follow her diet to become healthy.

eat cheese, avocados, nuts, granola, yogurt, olives, olive oil, bananas, and other healthy sources of calories that aren't particularly heavy on the stomach,

avoid bulky vegetables because they make you feel fat and reduce the amount that you can actually eat. there are dense sources of nutrients, like peas, edamame, and corn. They are very healthy but not as hard on the stomach.

i would also recommend eating peanut butter, it is touted by weight gainers as the miracle food. you can melt honey into it for a sweet dip with apples or with pita bread. it's delicious. you can also heat it and pour it over a bag of butter popcorn for a sweet, high protein, healthy fat snack!! delicious.

if you want more details or ideas just message me. i'm full of wisdom on this matter :)

Hi...I would love to lose about 7 pounds.  This is so difficult and I don't understand why.  I work out for 60-90 minutes 5 days a week alternating between cardio and weights, have changed my diet completely. I am 45 years old.  My weight is 123-125 lbs and my body fat is 22.3.  i would like to get at 117 lbs and get down my BMI to 117.   Lots of fruits and vegetables, cut out garbage completely.  my splurge now is sugar free fudgesicles (2 a day)  Before my excercize consisted of looking for the remote, and either starving one day eating alot the next.  I know as you get older your metabolism slows down but good Lord...any other suggestions?  Is this goal completely out of reach? Oh, BTW I'm 5'2".

I would love some help, Chaz.  I went on vacation last month & gained 5 pounds.  No problem, I thought, I'll take it off when my eating returns to normal.  So 3 weeks later it's exactly the same, so now I'm on a diet - eating between 1100 & 1300 calories a day & working out 3x a week combining aerobics & weights.  When I don't work out, I sit at a computer all day.  And even with this very low calorie diet (very low for me) I still weigh exactly the same-132.  I don't get it.  A month ago I weighted 128 & now I weigh 132 & my body won't let go of an ounce of it.  I have a cruise coming up next month & I"m scared that I"ll hold onto every ounce that I gain on that too.  Why is this happening???

I am 56, 5'4.5" & only gained 10 lbs. between age 30 & 53, then gained 2 lbs last year & now 3 more & can't lose it.

Before I spend hundreds with a therapist or something, I'd love some advice.

I'm a 15 year old female 5'8" and 125. I keep losing weight, no longer on purpose but rather that I fear I will gain weight if I eat more than I am but the amount I eat now is not enough and therefore I continue to lose weight. In January, I weighed 155. Then I decided to cut my calories to about 300 a day because I was fed up with all my diets failing. By April I was 141 and by the middle of June i was down to 135 (the weight I wanted to be at) but I notice I was still losing weight (sub-consnciously on purpose) Now it is July 31st and the last time I weighed myself i was 125.5 (that was a week ago). Now I'm worried because I no longer want to lose weight I just want to learn how to maintain my weight without thinking or actually gaining weight. My guess is my current weight is 123-125 and I hate when people look me up and down and give me that look like "oh she looks sick". I don't think I have a real eating disorder but I believe I need some help and a little information how to maintain my weight and no longer lose. But also not gain!

Any advice would be just amazing!!! Thanks so much!
