I think the eat meter should be  directly effected by your activity meter (specifically the activities that you enter into the site yourself, such as working out. Not daily activities as breathing, etc.)

For example if you eat your target calories of say...2,000 in a day but then work out and burn 500 calories you net 1,500 calories. The eat meter still reads 2,000 calories consumed (gross). I think the eat meter should then know to indicate that you need to eat another 500 calores or else your body will think it is starving.

That or there should be another meter that would show you if you need to eat recovery calories or not (for those of a more active lifestyle)

I'd rather eat my target calories, burn some off, then eat more. This is because I don't always get to exercise and want a deficit if I don't get the chance to create one myself. (I cycle, so my exercise is heavily weather dependant)
