I know that it's healthy to lose an average of 2lbs a week but how many inches lost a week would be a healthy goal?

Thanks in advance!

I dont think the average person loses more than an inch per month.

I could be wrong.

I've tracked my weight loss in relation to my measurements and found i lose about 2 inches from my waist every ten pounds, a little less then 2 from my hips, and a little less then 1 from my chest.  Everyone is different though so take your measurements every 2, 5, 10, or whatever pounds and track the relationship to see how your body works.

On average I lost about 1 inch off my waist every 3-4lbs. I carry most of my fat around my waist, so that's the number I pay attention to the most. If I'm lifting a lot that week then I'll look at inches all over my body, I won't necessary lose any weight but my inches will come down.

I think it kinda depends on the tone of your muscles when you start.

I started lifting after being quite sedentary, and lost at least a quarter of an inch a week off my waist, sometimes more.  That, of course, has slowed as my tone has stayed the same.
