Do you include house work in you activity log (or part of calories burned)?

I haven't because it's something everyone has to do.  I have included yard work (when it's consecutive...i.e 2 straight hrs) or moving (when it's easy to keep track of the time).

Yesterday I was running around the house all day, cleaning, doing laundry...my normal Sunday routine.  I can't tell you how many times I run up and down the stairs.  Not to mention just keeping up with my 2yr old.

I'm sure I burned plenty and do every Sunday during these chores, but how could I even begin to keep track of that? So I don't?

Tuesday is my normal weigh in day but I felt thin this morning so I got on the scale and yes I was down a pound.  This was the toughest to be down since starting.  I have 3 more to go until my goal.

For me, M-F are "sedentary" days bc I sit behind a desk all day, however I hit the gym after work and log in those extra cals burned.

On weekends I like to take a break from the gym, but keep busy with house work.  I don't log in those hours, but I do consider those days "light activity" days.   So maybe you should see what you burn a the next level up on your personal burn setting and go with that.

I am a SAHM.  I absolutely count doing housework on my activity log.  Running around the house, doing laundry, making beds, vacuuming, etc. all burn more calories than sitting on my butt watching tv all day.  It may not be as much as when I work out, but it is something, and I feel better when I see that number go up.

I never log housework unless it is a running around all day thing then I'll log it as one of the "implied walking" activities. these come in at around 200cal/hr.
