Including an occassional drink (Alcohol) in my daily calorie intake...........
I usually cease drinking altogether when I am dieting, which I don't mind. It affords my body the opportunity to go thru a cleansing as well. My question , is it detrimental to my diet if I had a drink or 2 just as long as it's incorporated in my daily calorie intake which is 1200. I am really not concerned about the white/red wines as I am about having a martini or cosmospolitan. Those type of drinks are very high in sugar and which I love. In my experience, if I am not to sure I usually reframe. But now that I am apart of the CC community, I can definitely use any feedback. Please note: I would only have a drink one time out of a week.
No harm in the OCCASIONAL drink, but my advice is to eat 1,200 calories of healthy food and have your alcohol calories on top of that. 1,200 is the bare minimum a women needs, so a portion of it really shouldn't be empty calories from drinking. That is my take on it, anyway. :)
There is no harm in having one drink a week as long as you incorporate it as you plan to. But keep in mind some of those drinks, like an apple martini or a margarita, can have as much as 400 calories in it alone. Thats the equivalent of one complete meal within your day. Just be careful with your drinking choices.
I would stick with a rum with diet coke or something along those lines.
the startling news is that some of those huge sugary drinks can have nearly 1000 calories. once i learned that i switched to diet coke and vodka immediately and never looked back.
just be aware of what you're putting in your body, and avoid the drunk munchies! :)
Thanks for the quick feedback, (priceless). I might just stick w/the rum & coke to be safe. No one actually knows how many calories are in those sweet drinks, which I love. I am trying my best to consume at 1000 calories a day, I know I should be consuming more while I am working out almost everyday. But I just don't be hungry. I drink plenty of water and I am forcing myself to eat fruits at least. I am concerned about getting all my nutrients for the day as I know I burn off alot throughout the day. Well today, I am going out w/the girls to celebrate a court case victory. I will keep in mind everyone's good advice as a mingle.
