How do I increase my calories for maintainance?

Now that I am at my goal weight and want to maintain, I need some tips. I will continue to improve my fitness level. I know that I need to increase my calories in line with my burn rate but this scares me a bit after months of dieting. Is it best to ease my body into eating more calories over a few days or weeks, or should I go straight to my burn rate calories?

For maintenance, it’s fine to add back calories all at once or gradually, but I prefer the Intuitive Eating method. With Intuitive Eating, you follow your body signals for hunger and fullness and challenge your thoughts about food and eating. You can then use calorie counting in retrospect to see how close you came to your target. Simply record your intake throughout the day and log it all at once at the end. Use the Nutrition Report to compare what you ate to what you need. Surprisingly, people seem to choose the correct amount of food when given the tools to make an informed decision.
