Any Indian people here or have healthy indian recipes??
Hey guys,
I'm indian and for the past two weeks I have been cooking american type of foods (soup, sandiwches, salads, etc) And I really MISS indian food but all our food is cooked with fried onions etc. I have made lenthil soup (daal) but I think thats about it.
Any suggestions??
roti without ghee/butter is pretty low in cal and 2-3 of it is filling... and you can have stir fried veggies ... 1-2 teaspoon of oil for 8 servings of veggie .... so that aint all that much ... add mustard to the oil ... and wait till it pops and then add red chilli powder, salt, any other spice u want and add chopped onions ... stir till its almost transparent... and then add the veggie :) ... add curry leaves for flavor ... and this recipe works on tons of different vegetables.
I cook a lot of indian-style dishes... mostly vegetarian. If you cut down on the oil/ghee and be careful with the portion-sizes it's very healthy stuff.
