Simple and quick recipe by America's Test Kitchen.

Ingredients
16 ounce boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon cooking oil
2 cups bbq sauce (recommends bulls eye brand)
Directions
  1. Pound the thicker ends of the breasts as needed. Pat dry with paper towels. Season w/ salt & pepper to taste (optional).

  2. Heat the oil in a 12" skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Add the chicken and cook until light golden brown on both sides, appoximately 4 minutes.

  3. Add the BBQ sauce to the chicken and return to medium heat for 5 minutes. Turn the heat to low, being sure the chicken is coated in the sauce. Cover and simmer until the chicken is fully cooked and registers 160 degrees on instant-read thermometer, about 10 minutes.
