The Inevitable Return of the Wednesday Chat

Hello all.

It's a beautiful, if cold day, here in Sunny, Clear and Cold DC. The sun is shining and it smells like snow is coming!

How's the weather where you are?

Good Morning Howard, it's -12 and the beautiful sun is rising.

We are suppose to get snow tonight.

Hopefully you get a reasonable amount of snow. Enough to make the landscape that pristine, beautiful white, but not enough to be a hassle when you drive.

Cold here in MN, but at least above zero today (5 whole degrees), so that's a plus.  Still wishing we would get at least a little snow...we bought a new snowblower this year in anticipation of lots of snow...it is still in the basement collecting dust.  :(

Hehehehe.. that's been one of the nice things of moving to VA, not needing the snowblower/shovel quite as often! :D

I love and hate mornings like these.  It's so nice when it's cold outside and you're curled up under the blankets warm and snuggled.  But then I hate that I have to get out of that heavenly condition to go into the bitter cold and go to work :-p

Wood stove is burnin' and 3 cats are curled up on cellar stairs and in baskets enjoying the "balmy weather" indoors even tho' it is 10 degrees out here in mendon MA.

a good nor'easter would be perfect right now.  watch the snow fall while I sip hot cocoa on my couch and it's so snowy that work shuts down!  *sigh* a girl can dream.....

It's sad, but I wouldn't even mind a good lake-effect storm. The snow flying around you, blowing around you, covering the ground.

I don't mind the snow, I just dislike driving in it.. but at least, in Buffalo, most people COULD drive in it.

snow....in new england.....in january.....i don't think i'm asking for much here. 

yeah, driving in it does suck, and having to dig my car out of the mess and then later when it gets sloshy and dirty and icky.  but when it's falling and fresh, everything looks so.......brilliant

I wish we would get enough snow to have a snow day.  We would need at least 2 feet...probably more to shut down the college.  As long as the bus runs we are open.  I don't mind driving in it...much prefer driving in snow over driving in ice. 

I do hate this cold, though.  Always thankful for my car starter...nice to get into a toasty warm car in the morning.

oh yeah, my remote car starter is one of the best things i've ever gotten.  i *heart* my starter :-) 

Me too, lily.  I wish I had heated seats too...maybe in my next car.  I don't know how I survived winters before I had a car starter.  Now if I could just find a way to stay really warm when walking from my car to the building.  It was cold when I got to work...a bit on the windy side this morning!
