Firstly, if you've misplaced a topic please PM a moderator with a request to move it rather than making a duplicate post.

Inflammation can be aggrivated by many foods, though it may also depend on whether you have a specific inflammatory illness alongside, eg, gout. Allergies can also cause inflammation and swelling. Why are you asking about inflammatory foods, if I may ask?

because i eat fairly well, (coffee and splenda being the worst), I log my calories (ranging from 1600-2000)and keep a deficit of 200-500. i exercise 6 days a week, including most saturdays of a bike ride burning 1900 calories. and i am completely unable to drop a pound. so a personal trainer said well it is one of 3 things. 1- hormonal imbalance 2- not enough calories 3- the foods i am eating are causing inflammation. I have a hard time believing the not eating enough, hormones maybe?? inflammation maybe?? how do i find out??? sorry for the repeated post.

There was a lot about this in the diet book Ultrametabolism.  It has a website at ultrametabolism.com.  This book helped me a lot.  There's a diet plan that helps you figure out what you are allergic to/what's causing the inflammation (for me it was wheat/gluten), and information about what food helps to calm existing inflammation.
