So yesterday I did a 40 min jog, with a cool down of a 5 min walk, and two hours later I did a 25 min jog with a 5 min cool down walk....i think i may have injured my ankle because it hurts like hell...its just one ankle,so im sure that there is something wrong with it.Should I walk on it today, instead of jog or should i do some ankle exercises and concentrate on my upper body?

You should def. concentrate on your upper body and give your ankle a rest. Look up some strengthening exercises online (for your ankle) and give that a shot. Don't try to push it b/c it could just make things worse. Good luck!
You certainly strained either the muscle or the tendon.  Rest is ABSOLUTELY required.  I would not do anything on the ankle for a couple of days and see how it feels.  When you do start up again, take it easy.

thanxx a bunch...if i hadnt asked someone about it I probably would have just started running again tomorrow and it have just gotten worse...I have this fear that If i dont exercise for one day,Im going to gain back everything Ive lost.

I have ankle problems, actually recovering from Achilles surgery. Advice to rest is good at first, also use ice, compression and NSAIDS like Advil to control inflammation. If this does not improve after two weeks, start on an ankle rehab program. I am now on leg presses, ankle strength training, wall squat and stretching.

Yeah, the hardest thing for me is to take a day off, for any reason, but sometimes you kinda have to force yourself.

Also, remember RICE

Rest

Ice

Compression

Elevation

It's pretty much a cure-all for sports injuries ;)

Yes, glad you mentioned elevation.  My podiatrist felt my bad ankle with his hand and compared the temperature with my good ankle.  If there is even a subtle increase of skin warmth, he has me elevate on ice.  At work, I place an extra waste basket upside down under my desk and put an ice pack to rest my ankle on.  He says this is OK as long as I also elevate it on ice at a level above my heart to increase the anti inflammatory effect when I come home in the evening.
