inner thigh :(
oh inner thigh how I hate you!!
Does anyone no some good exercises that focus on that upper inner part of my thigh. Also the butt exercises?
thankss!!!!!
Nothing is going to "target" that area really, but I've found that walking at a moderate pace uphill (10% incline on my treadmill) has made my thighs a lot smaller! I usually do 3.8 - 4.0 mph at a 10% incline for ~40 minutes (per day).
Lunges! And rear lunges!!
You can't target fat loss, but you can strengthen the muscle underneath, which firms up the look of your legs and butt.
Seriously, your thighs will burn, but it's worth it!
i was in a kickboxing class, using resistance bands there is a way to target that. there is a way to target every muscle in ur body. i dont no what the other people are thinking... i was in a gym, and they have a machine to specifically target ur inner thigh also. and running helps everything. but to target that area you might want to look up resistance band techniques or check out some gym equip.

I have read a few of your posts and you seem to be very misinformed about weight training. You should probably do some research before you start giving people advice.
Those machines target your muscles, yes, but NOT the fat above them. The only way to lose that fat is to lose weight by creating a calorie deficit.

Yes, as previously stated, you can not target FAT LOSS, so if your inner thighs are flabby (aren't everyone's??) you can't do anything to LOSE FAT except eat better. You also can't gain bulk muscle while eating at a deficit. But if you want to strenthen and tone your muscle you absolutely can do that. Then, when you lose the fat--voila!--toned legs.
As a personal example: I have been focusing on my arm musgles: biceps and triceps, primarily. I still have plenty of fat on my arms, that I need to lose through diet. Still have the flabby "chicken wings" when I shake my arms. But, underneath that fat, I can now see muscle. When I flex, the bicep sticks up and the fat hangs underneath. Eventually, I will lose the rest of my arm fat and have lean toned arms. (Fingers crossed!
)
If you guys re-read the OP and casigh's response, neither one said anything about fat loss. Simply targeting specific muscles. Now, they may have been referring to fat loss, but literally, it says nothing of the sort.
I've read casigh's other posts too, she is a bit misinformed...
Hey there,
My favorite way to find exercises is youtube! Yep, youtube. If you can find 'Plank Glute Kickbacks' and 'Glute Hip Lifts with side extension' they're both super simple to do and will totally get you into shape. I love the Glute Hip Lift with side extension in particular - if my thighs start touching while walking, it's because I haven't been doing these.
A good thing to remember: all of your muscles are interconnected! Don't focus too much on just your thighs. If you keep your core included, you'll actually be able to accomplish much more through more precise movements! Your workout will be much more effective and the results will come more quickly. I'd look for any exercise that works 3 muscle groups (abs, glutes, abductors) at a time if you want a quick fix.
Good luck!
(Post edit: I realize that the exercise names might have been kind of vague so I looked for a youtube video that had a good explanation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENCQhDiPCtA )
squats, lunges, step-ups. I just started lifting and every part of my body hurts, including my inner thighs, so something is working.
*hobbles off to find ice*

omigoodness do I feel your pain!!!
I have flabby upper arms, oh so flabby, but my bicepts are really toning.
I read somewhere that to tone the flabby upper arm, you need to tone the WHOLE ARM and not just the tricepts. I bet the same is for the thigh.
Unfortunately, for the upper arm (hopefully not for the thigh...) that flab will probably never fully go away since it is somewhat caused by genetic predisposition (hurray). All you can do is lose weight while toning and pray.
