You can't spot reduce, so working a particular area will not burn fat from that area. Overall weight loss will eventually lead to a decrease of fat in your problem spots, but there is no telling in what order, or what proportion. I can almost guarantee it won't be in the order you want.

That said, deadlifts and weighted squats, lunges, and step ups all work the lower body and can really help firm up the area as well as burn calories (and therefore fat), some of which will come from thighs, bum, etc.

I teach jazzercise, and we do all kinds of inner thigh exercises using little to no equipment that would be suitable for home. I think one of the most effective is simply laying on your back with your legs in the air, knee slightly bent. Then just open and close. Boy, it works. You just put on a good song, and on the verse open and close your legs to the beat. Then, on the chorus, pulse your legs open for 7, then squeeze closed on 8. Be sure you really focus on your inner thighs and squeeze them. After the 3-4 minutes of your favorite motivational song, you will have completed an excellent inner thigh workout. It won't be long before you notice better tone in your inner thighs.

Stacy, I am so trying that... Inner thigh (well, ok, thighs period) are one of my biggest problem areas.  I am going to add this with my daily crunches before bed!  Thanks

Here's the most "fab" answer you're gonna get

You can do leg lifts until you're blue in the face or spend hours on the adductor machine, but the strength of the  muscle will not have an impact on the fat above it. The only way to lose fat from a particular area is to lower your total body fat. Keep in mind that many women are genetically inclined to lose fat slowly on the inner thighs and you may find that your body fat has to dip quite low before you get results you like on your inner thigh. But if you're like most people you will ignore the fact that spot reduction is a myth so at least choose squats and deadlifts (as amethystgirl recommended) to maximize the amount of calories you burn and possibly achieve visible results elsewhere.
