Hi everyone! A little over a month ago, I completely changed the way I ate. I now am eating 5-6 times a day... and nothing but healthy foods. I excersise every morning on my Wii Active and I have lost about 5 pounds. I am 5'7'' and 122 lbs. I don't really care too much about my weight (its just a number) but I do want to lose inches off my body.
About a year and a half ago, my thighs were 20.5 inchs in circumfrance. Now, they are 22 inchs. I have been working my butt off--doing exra squats and lunges to build up muscle--but my thighs are still puffy. I just want them to go down a bit. I don't know where I am losing the weight, because I am really thin everwhere else. It is just my upper thighs... right under my butt. They bulge and I hate it!
What else can I be doing to start losing inches?!

If you're 5'7" and 122lbs there is very little possibility that you genuinely have 'puffy thighs'. You could be gaining muscles due to all the squats and lunges... or you could have put the tape-measure in a slightly different spot. Most likely you're just a little over-fixated on this area of your body and that no-one else would actually notice what you notice.
Love your body as it is, treat it kindly and try to stop staring at your thighs.
Im sure you thighs are fine. if the number has gone up its due to you building muscle or like gi jane said you maybe measuring in a different spot.
perhaps its water retention. im "genuinely puffy", so dont feel bad.
Based on your profile, you appear to be a teenager - and a slim one based on your height/weight. Odds are you grew. Girls in their late teens will see their hips, bust and thighs get a little bigger as their figures fill out. It's normal. It's natural. Don't fight it. Just make sure that you eat healthy food and stay active and you'll be fine.
Hey, I know exactly what you're talking about. My inner thighs are huge and I'm very fit everywhere else. I've just come to accept that I hold fat in my upper thighs and there's nothing I can do about it unless I were to become underweight.
Do you have small hips? I have very slim hips and I think that makes my thighs look bigger than they actually are. If I had wider hips then perhaps my thighs wouldn't touch. It's all relative I guess.
Also, on the upside, I guess we're lucky that we don't hold our fat in our bellies. People who are apple shaped are at much higher risk for health problems. And plus, we have rockin abs and most women always carry some extra fat in their stomach area. So we're lucky in a way haha.
I also feel that pain Ladies! At 5'7 122 also i still have icky thighs! i guess its just where I carry my weight...but I am not willing to go to like 115 to get rid of it!
