Insalata Caprese Recipe

A classic

Ingredients
4 large tomatoes, vine-ripened, sliced 1/4 inch thick
1 pound fresh mozzarella, sliced1/4 inch thick
1/4 cup basil, fresh, washed and dried
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 tsp. fine sea salt to taste
1 freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions
Arrange tomato and mozzarella slices and basil leaves on a large platter, alternating and overlapping them. Sprinkle salad with basil and drizzle with oil. Season salad with salt and pepper.
