Insalata Caprese Recipe
A classic
| 4 | large tomatoes, vine-ripened, sliced 1/4 inch thick |
| 1 | pound fresh mozzarella, sliced1/4 inch thick |
| 1/4 | cup basil, fresh, washed and dried |
| 3 | tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil |
| 1/4 | tsp. fine sea salt to taste |
| 1 | freshly ground black pepper to taste |
Arrange tomato and mozzarella slices and basil leaves on a large platter, alternating and overlapping them. Sprinkle salad with basil and drizzle with oil. Season salad with salt and pepper.
