Hi All.
Due to a hectic schedule, I couldn't keep up with Insanity the 1st time around. Now that things have settled down a bit, I plan on hitting the DVDs with full force this time. I'll update with progress and stats.
Haven't seen too many posts about Insanity on here, so I'm not sure if you all know about it, but anyone is welcome to join.
What is Insanity?
Hi,
I am in the second week of Insanity and I love, love, love it! I am a cardio junkie and it is just what I need.

Is it like looking through frosted glass, and nausea, interspersed with random inexplicable hysterical laughter, sadness and an odd sense of detachment?
I just ordered mine yesterday. I am soooooooooooo pumped about it. maybe we do need a group to hold each other accountable...

I'm still wondering! Haha
OMG - my first day was today and I almost died! I feel good now though but damn that was hard! I can't wait for tomorrow. I am sticking with the meal plan (easy since my grocery list is ONLY the Elite Nutrition Guide foods). So far, so good. I wil be taking an Advil daily even though I rarely take meds.
Way to go Karen! I have been doing Insanity for about a month (I tweaked my back doing v push ups so I took a week off and the re-worked the calendar the get back on track - in the program Shaun T has set I would have started the Max workouts today) and I LOVE it.
This morning I did my third fit test and the improvements were still there, even only a week back from my week off, and I have improved so much from my first test it is (dare I say it) INSANE! hee hee hee
This program is definitely challenging, but I find it really easy to push play every day, and even miss it on my day off. ![]()
I'm on week 2 of Insanity as well. So far, I really enjoy it. I am literally in a pool of sweat by the end, I think it really is harder (atleast more intense/fast paced) than p90x.
Day 2 and I feel like poo! i always want to hurl at the end???
I too was sweaty and I NEVER sweat! I am always freezing but by the end of the warm up (yes warm up) i could barely finish.
even though this is tough, it is easy to push play; the workouts are fun and he is easy on the eyes! i did have to cuss Shaun out for making me work so hard today; the dog looked at me like "who the hell are you yelling at?!?!"
finally, i am sticking to the meals 99% (I am a vegetarian) and i hope to not feel as sore after this week and really be in my groove...i will let you know.

It took me about 2 weeks before the warm up felt like a warm up. Until then I was struggling. My husband watched me to the end of the warm up one day and while we were strectching I mentioned that I was kind of tired and not looking forward to the rest of the workout. He was shocked. He thought the end of the warm up was the end of the workout. If only...![]()
What does this program entail?
Is it calistenics? Or cardio?

Both.
I just searched for "INSANITY" and found your post, please keep us updated on how you are doing. I started 9/16/2009 and I CANNOT keep up. YET haha.
I took last week off and ran on the treadmil and did weights instead because I was feeling a bit of an INSANITY burn out...
I started 9/1. I took a week off because the v push-ups hurt my back (don't do those any more) and then I repeated a couple weeks to catch back up so I am in the Recovery week right now.
The only workouts I have been able to keep up with at the recovery and core cardio and balance. The others, forget about it. But the workouts are so fun and the time goes by so fast I look forward to them every day.
I start MAX next week and I am a little bit scared. I watched them a while ago and if I couldn't keep up before I definitely won't be keeping in MAX. But I plan to do another round so hopefully I will get fitter and faster in that one too.

I keep seeing the commercials for this and I definitely want to try it. You don't need any weights or equipment do you?
I am SCARED of MAX week...
I feel like I need to do month one over before I even think about going on sheeze...

I am VERY scared. I only have two days left of balance before I head into it. But, part of me can't wait. I have never been so excited to get the completely worked!
Did MAX interval training this morning, and I felt like I did the first day I started Isanity. It was HARD. But I have a lot of room for improvement so I am excited to see how I do in the coming weeks.
I am sooooo proud of you for going for it. I am waiting to start it in the first week of November because I am going out of town next week and the week after and I want to be able to focus on the workouts. Only got a couple days in last week due to a nasty flu.
I was tempted to just give up but I am going to keep going for it.
The max ones are a little longer too right???
