Hi-  I am planning to start Insanity on September 1.  Anyone want to join a group to get us through?

I just started yesterday with the Fit Test and did the first workout today. They aren't kidding about the "insanity" thing. Oh my goodness, it is tough. I would love to have a motivation partner!

Yeah!  Having a partner makes it so much more fun.  I just did the first workout this morning and it was no joke!  Could keep up pretty well until the Level 1 drills than I just went at my own pace.

I forget what they are called, but the crazy four push-up things, with mountain climbers, and then standing up are super hard. I think I could do one and then I just stayed in plank the whole time. I'm looking forward to being able to do more push-ups.

Oh yes, I must have blocked that out.   :) When we were doing pushups I was doing 1-2 for every 4 they were doing.  I hope by the end I will be able to keep up the pace with them the whole time.

Oh, we will be able to do it. I have no doubt. We will be the queens of push-ups!

I was sore before I even went to bed last night. I'm sore this morning. I did Day 3 and it was tough, but I made it. Those moving push-ups were nuts. I can do the moving, it is the actual push-up that is hard for me. How are you today?

As I was doing the moving push ups (while trying to anyway I am not really that coordinated)  I was thinking about you saying we will be the Queens of Push Ups when this is done.  Maybe the Queens of regular push ups, but moving ones?  Geesh. But I am really glad this program focuses so much on upper body stuff.  That is where I need the most help and could make the most improvement.  :)

Today was pretty good.  I actually had kept up better than yesterday in the beginning part.  Up to the tricep dips with my leg in the air I felt good.  Once we put out legs up I really started to slow down. I loved the squat jumps and push up combo at the end, even though I was doing about half as many push ups as they were in each cycle.

Tomorrow is a recovery day.  Somehow I think it will still be hard...

We will be the Queens of all push-ups. I'm intent on conquering them all. I still have a long way to go :) I liked this one more than the previous day too. It was hard, but it was a good hard.

Also, today's Cardio Recovery was so good. I was grumpy when I woke up since I was sore, but the stretching helped so much. I am rocking an Icy Hot patch on my calf though.  The rest of the soreness is ok.

I liked that the stretches were long. It was challenging to hold them that long, but not impossible.

This weekend I'll be travelling, but I'm bringing my discs. I'm going to stick to it.

Working out in the morning is great. It's nice to come home from work and be able to do whatever I want.

I used to work out at night but I found I always had something else to do at that time.  At 6 in the morning the only other thing I ever have to do is sleep.  :)

I love working out in the morning.  Makes me feel like I accomplished something right away.

It was nice to go at a slower pace today, but I found myself getting a little bored with all the long stretching.  Guess I am getting addicted to an insane pace.

So while doing Pure Cardio today I was dreaming of the slower pace of the recovery.  But it was not to be.  I managed to keep up pretty well and not take breaks, but I was not moving as fast as the group moves.

I also did cardio abs (not on the schedule, but I was curious and noticed that in the coming weeks it follows pure cardio) and it is AWESOME!  My abs are sore already and there is not one crunch.  The best!

How is you calf doing?

I am a couple days behind you guys but keeping tabs on this group... I started on the 2nd of sept. Wow... after my third baby I have officially no stomach muscles! Finding push ups/ suicide jumps very hard! Enjoy the insanity........

Welcome!  I am really enjoying Insanity.  I wish the workouts were starting to feel easier, but they are still REALLY hard every time.  I have a hard time with the 1-2-3 heismans in the warmup (I am not nearly as fast as they are) and the speed of the pushups.  I average about 1 push up for their every two.

I was really proud this morning that at the end of Pure Cardio I was able to do 9 jack push ups.  Next time it will be more than 10!

I am very impressed with Insanity.  It is a lot of fun and goes really fast.

Welcome! Keep up the good work. I'm having the hardest time with the push-ups. I can only do about three. I think I'm getting better though.

I'm back from vacation and I managed to stick with the workout plan and do it every day I was gone. That is a big win for me. Push-ups still suck, but I think I'm getting a little better at it. I'm relieved that tomorrow is Cardio Recovery!

Great job on sticking with the program while on vacation!  I am impressed.

I feel like things are getting a bit easier, but I am still slow on the push ups.  I can get the right number for a couple of the first rounds, but then I slow down.  I can tell that I am getting stronger and that is good enough for me right now.

I can't wait for 'recovery' day!

just finished cardio power and resistance. (week 2, day 1) Wow. Found it really hard today.... not sure if it was because it was so late (8pm) or if it was because I was coming back after 2 days off. I have an aerobics class on tuesday's and I didn't want to miss it so I went to it on the sheduled day off. Then I took yesterday off with no workout. Not sure I should have done this but........

Anyway, looking forward to having more energy tomorrow with pure cardio! I have found my push ups are improving as well, but still a long way to go Tongue out

Must dig deeper!!

Hey, just wondering if you guys have been watching the scale while you have been doing workout? Mine is creeping up slowly which is a bit discouraging. But in saying that I am fitting into some of my clothes that I hadn't fit into before I started so........ Fat turning into muscle I hope (but so soon???? )

My scale hasn't been creeping up, but it hasn't been creeping down either.  I am sitting at exactly the same weight as when I started.  But I measured my waist and it is down an inch.  If you took your measurements before you started I would take them again  (If you clothes are fitting better you already know you are shrinking  :)  and not worry too much about the number on the scale.  Easy for me to say, right?  I too have a tendancy to focus on the scale number to the exclusion of everything else.  But I am really trying this time to use other cues (like measurements and improvements on the fit test) to gauge my results.

Speaking of the fit test, I did it this morning and improved on everything!  Somethings, like the switch kicks, a lot and others, like the power jacks, only by one.  But I did more of everything.  Yeah!  Going into the test I was worried about it, thinking I wouldn't even be able to hit my previous numbers so I am SUPER pleased!  How did everyone else do?  I bet every one is doing great!!!

I haven't weighed myself since starting. My goal here is just to do the program and finish it so I can say I did it. I definitely feel stronger.

The fit test was great. I was so proud when I was done. I improved a ton on switch kicks, but did better on everything as well. Push-ups are still the hardest for me, but I am getting better.

Great job, Dino!

What do you think about doing Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs back to back. Wow that is tough for me! I feel like Shaun T is giving me a big middle finger directly to  my core.
