Insanity Workout? Beyond p90x?!

Quote  |  Reply

Has anyone seen or tried this yet?  It is from the people at Beachbody (same as p90x).  I was thinking about looking into after I finish p90x.  I just started phase 3 of the Classic X.

I am intrigued by this, I must admit.  Here is a video of it so you can see it, looks brutal:

I am comtemplating getting it.  Don't have the $$ to spend on it just now though, but yeah, I am intrigued.  Let us know if you try it out :)

Wow - quite a jam-packed bad-**** promo video... temptingggg. ;) I've been doing P90x for the past few months... maybe it's time to move onto this in the near future!

Would love to hear from people who have gotten this!

this video is nutz..i def would want to try that

I think I am going to do it after the p90x is done.  I have about 3 more weeks, and this looks awesome.  I love the fact you don't have to use weights and your body is your own resistance.

I think that mixed with P90X would be great since the cardio workouts in P90X are just okay.  Including insanity would give you a lot more options.

Thanks for sharing, I hadn't heard about this.

Honey.... there's a new set of videos I want Kiss

Exactly, my favorite p90x video is the plyometrics, this workout looks like that times 10!

Hey,

I am doing Insanity right now and am on Day 11.  Its one of the hardest programs I have ever done! its craziness as shaun t says! but its, in a crazy insane sense, fun! it moves quick...kicks your butt & sometimes brings you to the floor!

People are already having great results with it that I talk to on the beachbody forum. I have lost a little weight but have weakness in the eating clean sense and actually just started following the guide on week 2.

I can, however, tell I am getting more endurance and power in the little time I have started. Its ridicously amazing!

It is alot  of money but Its a great workout and somethin I will do for along time.

I love it!

Wow that looks crazy!!

edit: double post

I have just started Insanity, on Day 2 right now, and let me tell you it so lives up to its name. It is insane. It's hard, its brutal, and when you're doing the workout you honestly just want to collapse on the floor and just stay there, and I've done it a couple of times. You need to take a lot of breaks, because it's just so hard, and I love it. It's great.

how much did the insanity dvds cost?

I actually got it for free off my sister because she bought it when it first came out, and she didn't get a chance to do it because she got pregnant. But I think the cost was about $150ish? Because it's three payments of 39.95 and shipping and handling which is about $30. It's a ton of money to dish out on a workout, I'm glad she passed it on to me for free.

This workout is beyond awesome!  I have been doing a boot camp class at a gym for the past two months but have to stop due to budget.  I got Insanity to give me something at a high level to keep going with.

I did the first workout last night to see what it was about and I barely made it through the warm up.  And then it really gets started.  It is tough - but in a GREAT way.  Also a lot of fun (once it was over - ha ha).

I still have one last week of boot camp and them I am doing the 60 day Insanity program.  Can't wait!

I'm doing it.

I've got deluxe.

WORTH EVERY SINGLE CENT!!

But only if you've got the balls to stick with it. This is more tough then anything P90x and Chalean Extreme ever did! I thought Plyo X was hard, but gaawwddd. The warm up is tough, the workout is harder. For the first week, 10 minutes before the workout was done I felt like I was going to toss my cookies!

If you are out of shape, this isn't your gig.

I'm on day 18. :) I have not taken my measurements again, but I recently took another shot to add to my "before" collection, and the results are there. I've never felt so toned and strong, even though I am heavier then 137. Even at 137, I never looked this sexy.

Shaun T was suprisingly not annoying at all. I didn't like him in HHA and thought he was waaaayyy too arrogant, and when I first heard of this program, I thought it was full of crap. Now that I'm doing it, I'm glad I gave it a chance.

Despite the intensity, these videos are fun as hell and always quick paced. Unlike Chalene's and Tony's tendecy to be like "oh you can take it down a notch" or chit-chatting during the workout. Naw. Shaun is "YOU can do this. Do it. Get it done. Dig deeper. Gogogo" there is barely any chit chat. It's awesome. Funfunfun~!!

Anyone want to start a group? I'm always in for a support team!

I do buhleeve I will be purchasing this at the end of this month...thanks for the reviews, people!

I would love to start a group!

OMG!  I just did this for the first time.  I thought P90X was hard.  I couldn't believe the warm up was so hard.  I thought my legs were going to go numb.  I was truly scared what the actual workout could be after that kick butt warmup.  I love P90X Plyo but this totally blows it away.  Insanity it is!

think im going to try this after p90x

My p90x partner and I have been contemplating getting this. Does it really blow p90x away??

Hopefully, the people who are doing this will post their experience here so those of us who are thinking about it can see how it goes for you first! ;)
