I would like to invite a guy friend of mine to visit me this summer. But I do't wanna make anything weird between us. I think were in a kinda grey area between friendship and crush. So because I don't know when He will be online(haha not psychic) And he lives in Europe I considered inviting him through email. I did not know what else to put besides "your friend" But what do you think? If you recieved this email what would your first thoughts be?

I noticed while walking today the first Caterpillar of the season. And that got me to thinkingsummers coming up very soon. So because I would like to see you again I was wondering if you would like to visit me, in Seattle? I don't know if your going to California but this could be something fun and different. There is lot's to do and see even if alcohol is not the only component involved! ;P Can you just say good ass shopping! haha So just let me know what you think and I hope to hear back from you soon! if it's the sleeping arrangements you're worried about, just say it right up front: i have a spare room with your name on it.  or not.

You could always leave out "your friend" if you think it might be weird. I've always signed my emails with just my name unless it's to my husband or something.

Hmmm I was thinking "your cute friend," But maybe thats pushing it haha!

Personally, if you're worried about him saying no, I think instant message is a little more casual.  It makes it seem like you put less thought into it.  You could make it seem like it was something you just thought of that moment, if you wanted.  And if he said no, you could be like okay, it was just a thought. :)

Sheesh I wish I could also get a guys perspective on this. Like how would you react to being invited over Im vs. email? Or better yet whcih would you personally prefer.
