Weight Loss
Moderators: duke3522, devilish_patsy, topanga1485, nycgirl, spoiled_candy, cmillington, coach_k Interesting Article on Weight loss (in Slate.com)
http://www.slate.com/id/2145689/fr/rss/
It mentiones some of the topics we've touched upon such as the correlation between insufficient sleep and obesity, some other new theories on obesity in America and some interesting observations at the end regarding self-image.
I don't agree with the entire article, as many of us here are becoming less obese or have become less obese and indeed into a healthy weight by increasing activity and eating healthier... Still interesting reading.
I'm not advocating anything in the article, just passing it along for others to read if they want to. Heck, even if you disagree with the entire article that's okay too. :)

Yes, but in the spirit of slate.com:
"The otherwise informative article was riddled with slate.com's self-righteousness and smarm that can only come from someone who truly believes he or she is chronically correct."
I hate the writers at Slate.

Hee! That is in the spirit of Slate. :)
It is what comes from a site that is essentially a news blog. (And at least I stated where it was from so if you hate Slate, you can avoid it). It's one doctor's opinion of the matter.

I knew it was from Slate; I just wanted to be smarmy and self-righteous myself. You see, I'm jealous. ;)
