This is pretty simple, but it can be lots of fun. The idea is to post a general question, then someone answers it and posts another and so on. The questions can be anything from trivial to serious to obscure.

First question: The world is going to finish in 1 hour. How are you going to spend that hour?

I would turn into a Canadian geese. They fly so high, go where the heat is, and have such community support, so much so that if one is unable to go on, I've heard that another will stay with him. BTW, I would wait until after hunting season!

What project do you have to do that you are dreading and will do anything to put it off?

Sawing, cutting, stacking, splitting, restacking, loading, unloading, stocking all of this years and next years firewood! Could really use some help.

What is important to you today?

A: figuring out what will make me happy tomorrow.

 

What is the one thing in your life that makes all the bad things bearable? 

chocolate comes closest -- but right now, not much.

When was the happiest time in your life? (to this point in your life)

At this point, I guess it would be my first day of college.

Or getting into college. I have a lot to look forward to though- marriage, children, getting into vet school, etc.  :)

 

If I gave you $1,000, what would you do with it?

A. Hmm.. I would spend it on the pure necessities; groceries, home supplies.. etc. I might even give some to charities or other good causes.

Q. You have been told that your best friend is to die the following night. What would you do to make his/her final hours most memorable?

 

 

I would let them know how important their life contribution has been and sit and recall the memories over a glass of wine and a variety of cake and assorted chocolates with a side of butter pecan ice cream:)

What is your favorite book and why?

I think it is called The Last Leaf by Henry... (I will have to check on that). I read that short story so many times over the years (mostly when I was young). The book was a collection of short stories, that had that particular one in it, and belonged to my mother and maybe even her mother too. Still have the copy somewhere in my library of boxed books.

i enjoy the freedom of riding my horse through beautiful Shropshire countryside having time to contemplate on various things.

Whats your favourite lyric and why?

You can't show me any kind of Hell that I don't know already.  (Elvis Costello - from the song Hand in Hand)  Keeps you going through situations you know might suck.  No wimping out.

What's the worst thing that ever happened to you?

Worst thing happened was my  tough luck in getting jobs. I struggled for five months. I gave thirteen interviews before getting this one and now i'm more than happy.

I'm sorry, I can't tell you that because even though they are my worst enemy, I think it's rude to put come one else's name on the Internet.

The chicken. I believe what the Bible says is true, and when animals were created, I don't think it was a bunch of eggs sitting around for birds, I think they were created as adults.

Who do you think is hardest hit by the recession? (could be a demographic group, company, etc)

luxury industry (car, jewlery etc), hospitality, Invesment banking, construction.

Why do you think it's hard for people of opposite races to approach each other if they like each other?.....or is it?

As far as friendship type relationships, I dont think its difficult. It all depends on ones own personality and the impression that they give off.

 

If money was no issue, what job would u like to have for fun?

I would think it is fun to work at a thrift store/good will.

 

If you could be any cartoon character in a Disney movie...who would you be, and Why?

I'd be Ursula in The Little Mermaid.  Girlfriend had a killer sense of humor, flamboyance, and no patience for idiots.  Ariel bugged the crap out of me.

Name three positives of this year over last year at the same time - can be personal, political, global, local, whatever... 3 things that are a huge improvement you feel everyday.

• i still have my job... it's a new position with much more responsibility
• we are accomplishing more at home in the completion of our projects
• i get along much better with my middle son. That makes me so happy.
