Hi i am Gail from Florida how is everyone doing this lovely morning.
Hi, Gail! Karen from upstate New York here. This is my first day on this site...hoping it will help. We're enjoying a beautiful fall day here...should be a lovely 63 degrees today.
How are you doing with the site i've only been here for about three days but it is great for a free site it gives you everything you need i have been counting my calories and have found that no wonder i don't lose weight i eat more than i should at almost every meal i really need support with this, know how about you
I've only been on the site for one day, so I'm still pretty much learning what's here and how to get it. I'm not sure about the difference between forums and groups, but I guess I'll figure it out.
I haven't counted calories in years and years. I've done WeightWatchers, which is almost the same thing...but I haven't gotten down to the nitty-gritty calorie counting in a while. I'm finding that since I've been watching what I'm eating (only for about a week and a half now), I'm really not eating enough calories. I've struggled with my weight for years and years, and for a long time I just gave up. I'm really going to give the calorie counting a try again, though, along with increased exercise.
Yes, I'm like you...I need all of the support that I can get! Talking to others who are going through the same thing is very helpful.
Take care!
Hi. I just signed up. Not sure how any of this works, but I know I have to start somewhere. Looking forward to getting to know all of you! I have a LOT of weight to lose, so I'm in it for the long haul..anyone out there hearing me?
Loud and clear! I've been doing cal.count since late July and have lost 16#. The food log really helps. I use it faithfully through the week to keep track of my calories and then give it a rest on weekends unless I just feel like tracking. I eat 1,200 calories a day Sunday through Thursday. I weigh on Thursdays and if I've lost I allow myself to eat a little more normally Friday and Saturday. No 1,200 calories is not normal, I don't care what anyone says!!!!!!! :) But it is effective. Over this amount of time I've only had 3 no loss weeks. The rest of the time I've lost anywhere from 1/2 lb to 1 1/2 lbs a week except for the first week where I lost 3. I didn't really expect to lose weight this steadily but I have! More than the weight loss, I've lost down to a size 12 from a 16. I generally do a 35 minute walk 3 or 4 days a week and crunches at home. That's pretty much it for exercise--lazy. The calorie target tool will tell you how many calories you need in order lose 1 to 2 lbs a week based on weight, height, lifestyle, etc. And that actually increases once you start losing. I started out at 1,200 and it has now raised me to 1,259. I was like a kid in a candy store trying to decided how to use those 59 calories. :)
Good luck to all of you!!!!
