Introducing myself

Quote  |  Reply

Hi, everyone

My name is Jennifer.  Here is a little bit about myself.  I am 41 years old and weight 150 lbs.  I am 5'3" and REALLY need to lose weight.  I am at the highest weight I have ever been.  I used to hover at 143 so you can see that I've gained.  Ideally, I'd love to be 125.

I have tried dieting off and on for years.  Not really "dieting" but counting calories and exercising.  My problem is sticking with it which is common, I know.  I've been surrounding myself with books and magazines on fitness to help motivate me but I still feel this part of me that is not on board 100%.

I have three children ages 7, 5 and 4.  The youngest just started school this year so now I have the perfect opportunity to begin to do something for me.  We also have a family gym membership so you see, there really should be no excuse, right?  Hmmm.

Anyway, this past week I've been working out on my treadmill every day and I decided to start logging my food once again to see if that will help me.

If there is one thing I wish I could do it would be to run.  I envy runners who run everyday and stay in such great shape.  That is a future goal of mine. :)

I really hope that something will click this time.  I look forward to meeting all of you and motivating each other.
