Introducing Ronnie to the group

My name is Ronnie and I live in Simi Valley. I work as a business development professional marketing employer related services (HR, Payroll, Risk, Tax), benefits (group health, 401k, Pre-Paid Legal, Aflac) and financial retirement solutions (financed planning, 412i etc) to business owners. (I work for both Champion Employer Services & Carington Insurance Agency).

Prior employers include ADP, Paychex, Parson Consulting Group, Canon USA, Allianz Group, New and York Life. 

I grew up in Valencia California however I went to Notre Dame HS in Sherman Oaks (Class of 87)... Earned my BA from CSUN, MA from SFSU, and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

After dating my wife for 6 year we got married. And we've been married for 13 years now. We have two beautiful children 6 & 8 years old (girl and boy). They attend private school here in Simi Valley where my wife was born and raised. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley and is a Sales Director for a major Biotech firm. I coach both my daughter and son's soccer team.

When I graduated from NDHS I was 150 pounds (5ft 10). 2 years later I was 165. And ever since then I gained 3 to 7 pounds a year. I could not recognize myself by age 25... I've been a yo yo dieter and I love to eat carbs. My wife actually caught me eating a bag a chips in the kitchen pantry at 2am with the door closed. Funny but not really funny.

In 2008 I reached my all time high of 242lbs. I've been dieting off and on and have been able to drop down to 228. My goal is to get down to 185 over the long haul.

I joined this group for local support and networking.

I've been with Calorie Count for 2 years. I love it!
