Does anyone use an application on their iPhone to help keep track of calories or exercise? I wish this website had one, but it appears to only have one for the Blackberry.
Any reviews or opinions would be appreciated!
I do.....its called "Lose it!" and it free from iTunes. It does differ in goal from CC (I am maintaining now, and say I should eat 1710 and CC tells me to eat 1650 {nut a huge difference, I know, but I am obsessed with numbers}) and some of the food cals vary.
A bit of warning with it....don't set it to lose more then 1/2 pound a week, or it may tell you to eat less than 1200....its all math based, I think.
Best to use it to count food cals, ignore its goal, and use CC goal :)
The lose it app is cool. I also go the ifitness app. I wish either CC would have a better mobile site or get an app. It would rock.
Lose it works really well. I didn't have the problem that hippiecat had though. I set it to loose 2 lbs/week and it tells me to eat just over 1500 calories per day. CC was telling me 1300, which is waaaay too low, especially with exercise factored in. Lose it also accounts for exercise that you log, adjusting you calorie intake for the day.
Good luck!
I love love love it!
I dont know how effective it is yet, but i love how it changes the calories when you exercise more. Because I know i undereat using calorie counting. Its great for me, because I am doing a study abroad in France and there is no way I could keep track without it!
I use the "LoseIt"app as well. It helps me make sure I eat enough cals in a day. It would be so much harder for me to eat enough without it. I have also used the "carbtracker" app too but I like the LoseIt one better.
