ipod help! before i throw the damn thing out
My ipod nano (2nd generation) only works when it is plugged into a doc or the computer...then it plays music and works normaly but as soon as you unplug it the screen turns all black and it wont turn on. how can i fix this?
my second problem is my ipod nano (3rd generation) works perfectly until i use the stopwatch then it records the tiem for a few minutes then turns off and then i have to reset it. this is so annoying because i use it to record excerise times. normally i would just use my older ipod since it used to work perfectly but now it doesnt.
any ideas?
I don't know if you have already, but you might want to try this with each of the ipods: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/nan o2gen/
Other than that... I have no idea, but you might want to try calling Apple's customer service line.

That sounds like a battery issue. If it's under warranty, you should be able to get it replaced. Otherwise, you could try this site: http://www.ipodjuice.com/ipod-nano-battery-re placement-products.htm

A couple web pages say you should do a system restore to factory settings through iTunes and that problem should clear up. I'd say give it a shot, I've restored mine a bunch of times for other reasons, and it's pretty easy.
