IRONMAN....Good Luck To Neeners!!!

Neeners is going to be doing the Ironman this weekend.  Lets all wish her good luck..... (HUG)  Good luck girl!! I will be watching.

Mine is 2254.

So, on July 23rd...if you log onto www.ironmanlive.com and click "watch live" for Ironman Lake Placid, you can get real-time feed from the race.  Click on athlete finder and type in 2254 as my BIB number and you should see how I'm doing.  It'll give you my swim time, transition to bike time, bike time 1/2 way around and all the way; transition to run, run time at the 13.1 mile marker and full marathon time...then total time.  If you really are gonna check on me throughout the day, here are my estimated times so you aren't sitting there all day: (this is eastern standard time)

7 a.m. start (the live feed is interesting with 2,000 athletes swimming over each other at the beginning)

8:05-8:10 a.m. I should exit the water and enter the transition area to get ready to ride my bike

8:20 a.m. I should be on the bike

3:00-3:20 p.m. I should be finishing up the bike (depending on the temperature, my body, etc....I may be earlier or later)

3:30 p.m. I should be on the run course

8:15-8:30 p.m. I should cross the finish line.  They have live feed at the finish...so you could sit there and actually watch me finish.  There is commentary so you can hear my name.  It's fun to watch.  I will be wearing a pink cap...pink and gray triathlon suit.

If this truly is what I end up with, I should have an overall finishing time of 13 hours, 30 minutes. That's the plan.  Prayers are always welcome!!!!  I just want to break 14 hours.  It would be very cool to be under 13:30....but I'm just going out to have a good race and some fun!  A bottle of wine will be waiting for me at the finish line! =)

Hi all from Lake Placid!  The race is just two days away and I'm psyched!  Having you all cheering for me from all across the world is soooo cool.  Thanks.  I will definitely do my best!  Pray for great weather and I'll be checking back periodically.  If you have a highspeed connection, you will be able to watch my finish online in realtime!  I'm hoping to cross the line around 8 p.m. EST.  If I'm having a good day, it'll be earlier....a fair day will be later....a really bad day will be after 9 p.m. (NOT GONNA HAPPEN!)

hey guys...again, thanks.  It's 7:30 p.m. the night before and it rained like heck here all day.  It's supposed to be raining in the morning, which will make it difficult to get going.  Pray for no rain.  Race goes on regardless.
