I've got 13 to lose! Who's with me? :)
I used to be quite overweight, but then I lost about 30 pounds really quickly once I hit my teen years. Now I'm 16, and since then, my weight has gone down to 140 then up to 155 then down to 145 and now I'm at 148 with a goal weight of 135. I have a HUGE problem with binge eating, but I'm really working on it. I just joined a gym and I plan to go once a day for half an hour because that's about as much time I have to be there.
This is such a struggle and I need some support!
Yay! good for you!! I'm 17 and my goal is to lose 10 pounds!
you just gave me more will power to lose those pesky pounds!
Hello, I'm just like you..and after summer break i gained some wight !
so,I'll start with you ..we can do this:)
I know what you mean. I gained about 7 kg ((about 15 lb)) and i want lose 'em..so here's some tips that a girl informed me and i wanted to share it with you ." Drink LOTS of water, you hear it everywhere, but it's true. If your sitting down, clench your butt muscles and your thighs and calves and then realise, it's only little but at least your doing something while your sitting down. Make sure that you dont' eat something {chips etc} that is bigger then your hand made into a fist. So, if you have some chips, the pile of chips can only be the size of your hand in a fist. A really good thing is a 'no fail environment' if you dont' have the chips there, you can't eat them. Have a salad always made or something ,Get a skipping rope and a good bra and do skipping, it's a great of a workout for you Treat yourself, maybe not 'eat whatever you want for the whole day' but if you really love steak and hot chips with potato and gravy then if you loose one pound {or you make the goal} you can have it. Better yet, if you loose *a certain amount of weight* in a week {or two, or a month} then you can go out and and buy something for yourself. treat yourself to a movie, or jewelery" hope i helped :)
That's great advice! I'm just starting to drink more water. I never liked the taste, but it's growing on me!
good luck to everyone!
yeah weekly weigh ins would be good! i don't have a facebook, haha i'm like the only person in the universe who doesn't have one!
i'm 5'4 and 128 lb, looking to lose 10 lb. the easiest thing, i think, is to only drink water (ie no juice, soda, etc) but the problem is, i barely ever drink anything other than water anyway! and while i can stick to snacking on fruits and veggies instead of chips and pretzels for about a week or so, i get tired of preparing all my food for the day the night before. and actually, on days when i dont exercise, i dont get enough calories without my pretzels!
anyone have any simple, one-item suggestions for me? like, "drink only water" but something that i don't already do?
hey, I'm almost 16 and it's been really hard to loose weight. I use to weigh 150 and now I'm at 126. I'm really pround of myself but I wanna loose about 6-10 more pounds to be at my perfect healthly weight. My trick, take it slow, dont kill youself by not eating junk once in a while and work out at least 30 min per day. Keep going! People that u dont even know are behind you through this. Every time u wnna stop running (for exemple), just think of a really nice dress u wanna wear, a bikini or a reunion where you're going to see an ex, or a crush. Do it for yourself, but why not use others to encourage u :) If u need anything, you can always contact me.
Good job that's so awesome! and that's good advice, thank you! :) "People that u don't even know are behind you through this" I'm gonna think of that, it makes me feel kind of inspired to push myself haha!

Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
In terms of calorie burning, moderate jumping is about equal to running a 10-minute mile, although calorie burning is always a function of time... Read more
