Iv'e lost the amount my big cat weighs!

Yipppee... I have lost 18lbs since January 9th.  This is the size of my very large but cool cat Apollo!!!  I have along way to go but I am almost a quarter of the way there.  I have been pretty steady since starting this site at losing Approx 2lbs a week.  This site and everyone here has been an inspiration and a very big help  to me and I don't think I could have come this far without all of you!

Holy cow, that's a lot!  I read somewhere that a can of soda is one pound, so you lost more than 2 six-packs!  Ha ha ha...

oh my gosh, you lost your cat!!  that's really funny.  i'll have to go and weigh mine. i might have lost her.... i'll let you know when i've lost my dog, cuz then i'll be at my goal..lol

I have been picking my cat up all day.. because it is funny when you put it in perspective and realize how much extra weight you carry around.... I weighed my smaller cat this morning (11lbs) once I lose her to i will let you all know!!

That is so great!!!!!!!! I noticed that on another post you said that we had lost the same amount of weight and had the same goal, so I checked out your profile and noticed that you said that you live in nevada. I do too I'm in las vegas! It so funny that there is so many things we have in comman. Anyway great job and keep up the good work and I'll try to keep up lol.

That's cool... I did not realize that you live in NV too... I am up in Reno... I love Las Vegas... My husband and I have the best time when we go!!  People would think we would not love going to Vegas so much when you live in Reno but it's a totally different world down there...  I would love to add you to my friends list and you are welcome to put me on yours... stay in touch...

That's funny you mentioned that! yesterday I told somebody that when I get my goal weight I will have lost both my cats in weight.  bandit weighs about 12-13 lbs and Lieutenant (louis) weights aroub 9-10 lbs. : ).  I've already lost Louis in weight.

LOLOLOL to all of you cat people!  Do you know, my old grouchy (neutered) tomcat Pepper is my diet role model?  He has never exceeded 9 pounds in all his 10 years on this planet.  I have to keep his bowl overflowing with his Purina Senior Hairball crunchies (he hates it when the level gets low, because then his whiskers brush the bowl rim) but I swear---he only eats when he is starving.  And even then---just a few dainty nibbles.  I think we could all learn from ol' Pep!  He keeps active by chasing birds when I let him out (has never caught one) and torturing his Batta-Bird in his playhouse, otherwise he sleeps all day.  By the way---I've lost 1/3 of my cat since becoming addicted to this site. 

ehjbwj... cracks me up that your cat is your role model for dieting!!! way to go on your weight loss..

My big tom Apollo will meow very very loud in the middle of the night if his bowl is low on kibbles... He is otherwise a gentle giant more like a very mellow dog.. whi thinks he is smaller than he is and tries to fit into very small areas its funny!! LOL

yall are sooo funny!!! I have lost 13 lbs. Thats about 2/3rds of my cat Miss Kitty's wt. She is a fatbutt, about 18lbs. {She thinks she needs to count the cals. she eats.}

What a great way to look at it....With my total weight loss, I've lost all three of my cats plus a few extra pounds.  Coool.

i've been forgetting to use the tags for forum posts, but i wanted to "tag" all the great eggplant recipes, so i went to look and found this one from "way back when"----i HAVE "lost my dog" and didn't even think about it.  just went right by me.  now i've lost two pounds more than my dog. 

anyway, this is for kittykatz--who said to let me know when i'd "lost my dog."  now i look at him in an entirely different way.   that's all my weight loss lying there on the floor. . .man, am i glad i'm not carrying THAT around with me any more.

How funny!  I love this site.  My cat, Honey, aka "Princess Puddin,'" is (unlike me) quite petite and only weighs 7 pounds.  That's OK, though, because I've "lost" 4 times her size (29 lbs)!  Like Pepper, Honey (hey, these are food related names . . . significant??) has always weighed within a pound of the same amount for 8.5 years.  Crazy, huh?  Maybe we need to go on the "kibbles" diet?  *grins and laughs at the thought*

I Love Fat Cats. My one friend has a cat named smokey and he weighs at least 20 lbs.

I'd love to lose at least half that:)

We need a standard "cat" weight measurement so we can count in cats instead of stones or pounds.

I agree saroful, my dog is 85 lbs I do need to lose my dog but I definately want to focus on losing a few small cats first.

Just have to laugh with you guys talking about losing the wt of a cat or dog.  I have to lose the wt of a cow or horse and so far have lost the wt of maybe the left ear!!
