I've lost! I'm finally a LOSER!

I've lost about 5 lbs from when I started a week ago. I don't think that it is totally accurate and I realize that's not a healthy amount to lose, but I think that I had a lot of water weight on when I started, as my period was on the way...not sure...

Either way, I'm losing!

Thats wonderful! Keep up the great work. Not trying to be rude...are you a bit big? I am LOL. I was 258 when I started and I have lost 11.6 pounds since the 2nd of January. I think when you are my size when you change your eating habits and start excercising you lose weight quicker at the beginning. As long as you are eating healthy and excercising the weight will come off. Once again you are doing WONDERFUL! Keep it up!

Good job Jaimie. 5 pounds is fine for the first week.  Your weight loss should slow now though.  If you're still losing more than two pounds a week after the first few weeks you might want to make sure you're eating enough.  I always lose about 5 pounds my "first" week of dieting on a 1200-1500 calorie diet.  It's a shame I've had so many "first" times. I can't wait to see how much I lose in my 30th week - if it's just 1/4 of a pound I'll be thrilled because at least I will have hung in there.  I'll be watching for more great reports from you in the future.
