Jan 14 weighed in at 341 lbs
May 4 weighed in at 274 lbs
now... 256 lbs.. 85 lbs down.. in 6 months
I signed up for a contest for a local radio show called " The great Weight Off" and in may I won it! You can see the contest and before and after pics at this link http://www.wkkx.com/contests.shtml if you go to my name on the page, it has my results at each weigh in which started of at 4 week intervals and ended up at 1 week intervals until the competion ended... I lost about 8 lbs a week. and I am healthy.. I ate Healthy.. I exercised daily.. and truly busted my butt.
I just joined C-C , although I referenced to it often through my weigh off program. I thought i may come in and offer some help to anyone that asks... I have been looking for a solution to LOOSE weight and NOT GAIN for 8 years..... I was the good ol cheerleader in high school, then had 2 kids, and just kept getting bigger!
Here is how I did it in a basic point, if you have a quaetion JUST ASK!
I looked up my BMR ( the # of calories my body burns in 24 hours of rest) and mine now is 2100 calories. So I eat 2100 calories. Everything else I do daily from working, to walking, to driving, to exercising, all of those calories I burn, I am buring excess calories. Every 3500 cal you burn you burn 1 lb of stored fat.
I will sum it up like this...
figure out your BMR and eat that # in calories.
Write everything down. I have a food chart I created if you need it let me know!
I dropped all drinks except WATER!! (SO HARD)
I ate 6 - 7 times a day
I worked out everyday... it depends on how bad you want it....
I can explain how long I worked out and all of that if anyone cares.. JUST ASK! I just want to be here for any questions you may have if I can help I will , if not maybe someon else can. I used www.caloriesperhhour.com for my calories #'s and I have made up a list of most foods I eat... I can email that as well.

Thanks everyone..... I promise this wasnt ( an at a boy) message.. I so want to help people like me that were looking for answers...
My work out schedule was only 10 minutes on an elliptical the first time... I increased it by 10 minutes each day until I was up too an hour. I started off at incline 0 resistance 0 .... burned about 500-600 calories an hour.... Now I burn about 1000 on a bad day 1200 on a good day in that hour on incline 9 resisitance 19 .... I worked out 7 days a week never missed a day from Jan 14 thru May 4... Now I dont go on the weekends... I have horses and I enjoy my work outs with them... and being 85 bs lighter I am MUCH MUCH more active!!! I aquacise once a week for an hour ( along with my daily gym routine) I was so tired of running all of the time, but I won a free gym membership for a year, so I wont stop going until all of my weight is gone! Why waste the membership... and I will be much happier come May of next year which I am hoping to be at my goal weight. That goal was 220... now I have reduced it to 175. I HOPE.. thats what I weighed in high school as a cheerleader.. I am big boned, and have tons of muscle so I weigh more than I look ( or so they say)... hope that helps.

Thanks for the comments! I wish i could explain how much better i feel. I can play out side with my kids... I dont have to have the air conditioning on all of the time... I dont mind sweating.. and most of all... I CAN CROSS MY LEGS!!!!!!!

Trust me it isn't easy, But it was so much easier than I ever thought it would be.. once you see your loosing 8 lbs a week, eating healthy, and doing it right by exercise.. Its motivation enough!!! I can tell people how I did it, but i can't motivate you to do it.... I have had my bad days too... But its a struggle of how bad do I want this.... I look at myself now and think, boy I'm freaking huge! Well, I must NOT HAVE BEEN THINKING 85 lbs ago! I Never even looked at myself in the mirror I guess! I have new pics since May 4 when the radio show was over.... I can send if anyone wants to see. I am afraid I will have excess skin though.... In the pics you can se my arms.I do weight training as well, but not daily. Anyone out there have any ideas for me let me know.. I am only human too... I need reminders to stay on the beaten path as well!!! and it may help other people! You guys are great! Thanks
Remember all.. I will sendyou the food chart ( blank) for you to fill out dily, it has a spot for you to fill in your food, & total calories for each meal & snack.... a column where you add your calories for the day, and a spot to deduct your calories burned so you can see your calorie defict in front of you. I will make a copy of my foodcharts while I have lost the weight, and a calorie list of the mosyt common foods I ate, serving sizes and calorie count for things NOT IN PACKAGES that say right on it the Calories! That was were I had trouble, in fruits, veggies, and meats that dont have a calorie right on the LABEL! I have emailed tons of you.... but again I need your home email so I can attch these file for you. They are in WORD format... Thanks for asking.. I now it will work for all of you if your ready to loose weight, LETS DO IT!!!

wow....u are my HERO!!! I am really ready now. In the last 2 weeks Ive just cutt out sodas and tried to watch what i eat and Ive lost about 5 pounds...but Im ready to dive in the deep end now!!!! Im 5'5 and 248 now. Thanks for your inspiration.

Wow! What a great job. I would love some help. My daughter & her husband are taking me to Hawaii for New Year's, so I have 6 months to lose as much of 80 lbs as I can.

omg thats great! I just started working out and lost 19 lbs in a month , I just wonder if i'm in the right path , I do 30 minutes weight training, and 1 hour/2.3 miles on the treadmill. Should I be doing more? I eat pretty well, lots of veggies, and limited carbs. And as far as the gym I go 4 times a week. Please give me feedback !!!! Oh and my current weight is 368lbs. When I started it was 387lbs.
Your exercise schedule sounds great! My nutritionist told me not to press ity harder than I was... meaning... If you feel like going longer go longer, but dont let yourself slack from what you know you can do. I did, and when I started I was doing an hour ( 3 weeks into my weight off) and i was burnig about 600 cal. now I do that same hour, i weigh 85 lbs less, and I burn 1200 cal. I can go faster.... and my resisitance is up and my incline. Your dpoing grea. My heviest was 357. I was341 when i started my weight off. It TRULY has turned out to be easier than I ever thought! Eat your calories that = your BMR. That is the key! If you need help figuring this out Just email me!
