I've lost 52 lbs and had lipo.
Ok, so first off. I am a long standing member here. I've created a new account because well, I just want to stay private about this.
I want to see what type of response I get from you all on here about this subject. I've lost 52 lbs in over 2 years and could not lose my stomach. So I had lipo of the upper and lower abs, banana roll and pelvic area. I will be getting my arms and bra roll done soon. I don't want to lose my boobs or my butt so I'm getting the rest of my fat removed in the few problem areas I have.
What is your opinion of this type of cosmetic procedure?
PGEORGIAN IS THAT U !?
lol. Whatever makes you feel good, within reason. lipo after all was developed not for drastic fat reduction, but for those who have exercised and dieted right and are left with stubborn, unresponsive pockets that make one look disproportionate.
anywho, what does it matter what others think? you've already had a lot done. do u regret it?
It's your choice and what makes YOU happy!!!! Sometimes the weight loss and excercise just doesn't remove that pouch.![]()

No I don't regret it, actually I'm thrilled. I'm 1 month post op and besides the knots that will eventually disappear I have pretty much a flat stomach. It was much more painful than advertised, but I got better results than I anticipated. After my arms and bra roll, I've got a pocket of fat on the inside of my upper legs that I will have done.

agreed. to me this is similar to someone getting extra skin removed after losing a drastic amount of weight. i don't think i'd do it, because i'm terrified of medical procedures, but if after working to lose 50lbs it makes you feel better about youself, then that's great!
just remember to keep it sensible. you can gain fat back after lipo, its just itll come back unevenly in lumps and bumps. best to do one area, keep it at a minimum, imho. good luck.
I think we all have something that we wish we could change... I would love to get rid of what I call my "apron" a gift from my very large son ;o) If I could afford it, I would do it in a heartbeat!
My girlfriend lost all her weight, and decided that after years of having hardly any bust even when over weight, she was not willing to go through the rest of her life in an AA cup, and had implants. Now, they are very tastefully done, she didn't tell her kids, and they didn't even notice, so obviously, she didn't go extreme, but she feels better about herself, and she looks amazing even through her own eyes now...
Personally, having always been well endowed in that area, when she mentioned that she was thinking of having this done, I was very supportive, but couldn't really relate to what she was going thru. Although I have to say, after having nursed 2 kids and lost 50lbs now, I would seriously consider a lift!
Good on ya! Obviously given your new screen name "sexyhotmama" you're happy with the way you feel about yourself now, and truly, that's all that matters!
Whatever makes you happy. If I could afford it, and didn't dislike drs and pain, I would do it.

I agree, too... you took the weight off in a healthy manner. If having the surgery to fix some other spots helped you feel better about yourself, then good for you.
I had a nose job for purely cosmetic reasons. And I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Worth every penny.
Plastic surgery only freaks me out when it's the people who get addicted to it, or who get size GG (for "gargantuan!!") breast implants that are totally obscene looking (IMO) -- those kinds of things... I think lots of folks who lose weight end up needing some kind of surgery to take off loose skin.
hi,
would you mind telling me exactly what they did? because im thinking of doing it myself to get rid of this annoying tummy fat. is it like an operation where u have to be put to sleep for a while? lol i reli have no idea! x
I don't know if i would ever have this kind of procedure done myself, but i fully support it. I think there is nothing wrong with people shaping their bodies to look asthetically pleasing to them, whatever that me be, after all thats why i have tattoos. I am pleased that as technology progresses there are more ways for people to mold their exterior so its pleasing to them and is in their minds a representation of themselves. My only objection is those who are trying to reach certain asthetic ideals because they hate themselves as they are or for similarly bad reasons, but even then it isnt my place to object to someone elses choices. I simply think it is wonderfully healthy for someone to love themself yet strive to improve their body or mind to be whatever is even more pleasing in their eyes.

My opinion... People who have this done with no prior effort at weight loss are lazy and stupid. People like yourself who have put great effort into a losing the weight in a sensible healthy way and still need an extra push?? GO FOR IT! Don't think twice about enhancing the work you have already done, and remember to still be proud about your hard work at weight loss. I would have lipo on my thighs in a New York minute if I could afford it. Losing 55 lbs has made them pretty loose :(

okay, y'all know it's not me, right?
i've been fairly open about the fact that my hysterectomy was, to a great extent, a cosmetic decision if not a cosmetic procedure. my uterus was over 1500g (3+ lbs) and equivalent in size to a 20-week pregnancy. no matter how much weight i lost, i was never going to have a flat belly with that thing in there.
and i can tell you now with almost-absolute certainty that i'll never have invasive, elective surgery again. the surgery was a breeze; the complications have been decidedly un-fun. i'll keep my fat pads, wrinkles, and droopy bits, thanks anyway.

i got a job, betz. and not the kind of job where you sit in front of a computer and post in forums all day
.
I've been thinking about lipo for a while too. I don't know if I'd actually go through with it though. I've lost 60 lbs, kept it off for years and there's no danger of me gaining it back (total lifestyle change, etc). i'm sick of flabby arms & inner thighs & that one little bit on my stomach that prevents it from being flat. Sorry... got off on a tangent there...
Hi,
I don't think there is anything wrong with lipo, infact I want to get some lipo on my legs- saddlebags.
I didn't know it was painful! How painful was it? Was the pain just localised to the surgery area? Does it look even?
Good for you, I hope it gives you the confidence to feel your best.
While I see hard work as way more rewarding and flattering for a person, I personally have nothing against plastic surgery. Heck, if I had the money, guts and patience, I might seriously consider shedding a couple inches of nose myself. xD
I find it funny how everyone is wondering who this is. Silly people, it`s not pg, it`s floggingsully. ![]()

Hello,
I understand that after this painful surgery you wouldn't want to get any other, but you should know that a hysterectomy is a lot different from any elective surgery. It is understandable that that part of you was unsually large and you couldn't live with it, but a hysterectomy can change your hormonal regulation completely- this depends, of course, on what type of procedure it is, since sometimes the ovaries are also removed; however, just by removing the uterus, a big change will happen in you. Changing your nose, wrinkles, tummy, etc. will most likely not influence your hormones, and it won't have the complications that a hysterectomy has- many other complications can occur, but usually, they're physical unless you get unlucky.

Woaaa....! A bit of belly was that bad?
Well, on the bright side, you wont need to have it done if you ever decide to get female to male surgery ><

I don't think floggingsully worries about his bra roll.... ![]()
And he's probably not worried about losing boobs.
