I've Lost 23% of My Body
I've lost 23% of my body and it feels great. Now I am just moderately overweight instead of obese. I'm celebrating. Will you please share your success story with me?
Here is my info:
SW: 226
CW: 175
Age: 40
51 pounds lost in seven months! Yippee!
First of all, congratulations on your weight loss.
And, as I was clicking on the thread to read your post, I started thinking "I wonder what % I have lost, I should figure that out". But since we have very similar start and current weights (228 and 170), you kinda did it for me. LOL.
Great Job. And in only seven months (it has taken me 11), you did really well.
I've been losing weight very slowly for years, but I have also lost about a quarter of... myself!
started at 175lb
now at 133lb
that's a loss of 24%!!
My and my boyfriend were carrying this table flatpacked home from ikea the other day and he was whining about how heavy it was and I looked at it and it said it weighed 41lb and I said, dude that's how much of me has vanished!!
bairn: That's too funny. I did the same thing the other day! I'm down 49 pounds and I was carrying a 50 pound bag of horse feed. Dropped something and squatted down to get it, and when I stood back up it was like "holy crap, did I really carry that much extra weight around all the time? "
24.5% for me so far, another 18.5lbs to go! What a cool way of looking at it.
That is FANTASTIC. Er now I know this sounds stupid but I haven't run that calculation on me yet. How do you calculate it?
ladydeathbird, you divide the amount you have lost by the weight you started at, then multiply by 100 (or move the decimal two places to the right) to get your percentage.
i've lost 16% ![]()
Congratulations, that's wonderful!
I absolutely love reading success stories. It makes me feel so optimistic.
I've lost 16%, starting at 190 and am now at 158.6, which puts me in the "overweight" range instead of "obese" as well.
Again, congrats. Thanks for posting this! It made my day.
Great job everyone!!
Start weight 213 (bmi of 31, obese) current weight 137 (bmi 20, desirable), 36% of me gone!!
Great job everybody!!!! It is SO encouraging to read others stories indeed! I started on this journey just over a month ago today . . . and the good news is I am down 4.7 pounds and 3.5 inches!! I have 48.3 to go, but progress is progress and I do indeed feel better already.
Keep posting happy stories!!
