Ive lost 3 pounds by the 3rd day.

Im very excited. Seems that already im starting to lose weight. Before, everytime I would look at the scale I would have gained a pound or so...already I am seeing results. Im so happy to have found this website, it is a real motivator....I hope Ill be able to stick to it and get down to 120 like I plan. =)

Good job, but I highly doubt that the weight you lost was fat, especially if it was only within a 3 day period. It's probably just water weight. That's 1 pound a day, which is completely unhealthy. The average woman loses between 1-2 pounds a WEEK, and that's with hard work, diet and exercise.

What are you doing to make yourself lose 1 pound a day? Have you been eating/exercising the healthy way?

him~~~~ If you just started dont fret the extra weight loss, I lost 11 lbs in 2 weeks when I first started..... its watre loss from eating healthier foods. GOOD JOB on the weight loss os far and keep it up! This website is GREAT! I have my before & Now pics on my profile.. ITS A WONDEROUS THING!!!
A big loss when you first start is so motivating and encouraging!  The trick now will be to keep up your energy levels if you don't see a loss.  Keep in mind that diet and exercise are a process of change to something better - not a means to an end.  There is no end - the healthy choices you make today will impact the rest of your life!

mztenderheart02 - a big loss is fairly common for people who have a lot of weight to lose and should not be considered unhealthy.  Depending on the current weight of the individual and their body structure, 3lbs in a few days might be pretty normal.  You are probably right that it's water weight, the first 10lbs usually is but I think it's better to support people with motivation not accusations of being unhealthy.

mztenderheart02~~ Keep at it I lost 4 lbs a week until I lost 80 lbs because I weighed 363 starting. I went to the doctor and nutritionist........... They both said I was fine, and warned me it would slow down. It has, Im happy though because its still moving down!

mztenderheart02--- I am eating plenty of food, and have not over done it at all on exercise.

Yesterday for breakfast I had 2 eggs and a piece of whole wheat toast with some water.

For lunch I had Subways 6inch chicken breast on wheat bread with some gatorade

For dinner I had a turkey wrap with an apple and gatorade.

As for exercise, I ran for 30 mins and did 5 min. worth of crunches.
Damn, yall are lucky. I'm at about 300lbs and I aint EVER lost so much weight so quickly. I have to work my A$$ off just to lose one pound! Kudos to you.

Keep your head up Ihilani, you can do it!  I read recently that people who platuea during weight loss, especially when they have more to lose, that is often connected to a psychological need to not let something go.  A lot of people have emotional reasons that caused weight gain and if those issues aren't resolved it causes a mental block.  Obviously this is one persons theory but I believe it.  For me it was self love, having the courage to accept myself where I was (at 400lbs) was very liberating for me and I shed 15lbs my first two weeks!
