So, I've been messing up pretty bad every now and then...?

For example, this weekend I was really busy and didn't eat all day and then came home and had ice cream and Doritos. *smacks self* Then Monday I had about 600 calories total in healthy stuff. But, then today I messed up again and ate a whole bunch of cookies. lol I definitely ruined my diet today for sure. But, I'll get back on it tomorrow. What I was wondering is, if one day I have 600 calories and the next I have 3000 (I don't know, I might not be exaggerating lol) will it all even out eventually? Because...I'm getting really upset with my lack of self control recently.

Oh, I weight 145ish and I'm trying for 130 by Feb. 14th. So..I need to kick it into gear. If you have any good tips for weight/inch loss in any other way that would be helpful too.

nope it won't even out. You need to eat at least 1200 a day so your body wont go into starvation mode and you can find the max you should have to maintain your weight by using the tools on this site (burn meter). You're probably bingeing on your off days because you aren't getting enough the other days when you only eat 600 calories!

Get a eating routine going, dont let yourself get starving hungry as it sounds like thats when you cheat.

Have a definative time of the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner and snack times. mine are the following:

Breakfast 7.45

Snack 10.30

Lunch 1pm

Snack 3pm

Dinner 5.30

I dont deviate more than half an hour from these times, that way i am never STARVING hungry. and as Auralay says eat more than 1200 cals a day.

Hey, messing up is ok! Just log your calories & move on! If you have the energy go for a walk/run/work out & it will make you feel a lot better. If not just move on & stick with it tomorrow! Starving yourself on purpose is not ok!

"Mess ups" can be included in a healthy lifestyle. Yesterday I had a peice of birthday cake for breakfast! Heheh! 1 hour of cardio, 1 hour of yoga, plenty of healthy noshes to eat & I still made my calorie goal for the day!

You know, I know it sounds weird, but I had been doing really well on my "diet". Then I had a three day weekend this weekend and ate/drank at LEAST 3,000 calories a day.....I got back on the scale tuesday, and had lost TWO POUNDS. So I guess messing up some is okay, it won't throw you off too badly.

But 600 calories a day is nowhere NEAR enough. If you're yo-yoing on your diet like that, you're going to wind up gaining weight, because your body thinks it's starving one day, so the next it holds on to more calories than it normally would. You need to get at least 1200 a day of healthy things...I'm a small girl, so I need to only eat 1200 if I want to lost weight, and I find it hard to eat 3 decent meals plus 2 snacks a day. I cannot even imagine how little your eating if you're only consuming 600 calories.

Also, losing 15 pounds is 3 weeks is not a reasonable or healthy goal. You have to set reasonable goals or else you're going to get discouraged and be more inclined to mess up your diet.

As far as tips, it's high in sodium, but soup has been my life-saver. It's pretty filling and really low in calories. Pair it with a grilled cheese sandwich on wheat bread and some protein and you've got a full meal for about 300 calories!
