So I've reached my goal......
I've lost a total of 36.2lbs but I'm wondering if I should aim to lose another 1/2 stone (7 lbs) which would take me to 133lbs which is the weight I was throughout my early 20's.
I'm now 138.8lbs, 5' 6" and 30 years old. What do folks think?
Woot! Great job on making goal! :)
How do you feel about your body right now? Did it take you very long to lose the weight? If so, I'd recommend eating maintenance for a little while and then reassess.
If you took it off at a steady regular pace and feel like you're on a roll...maybe this is the best time to take a little more off.
Congratulations again!

I recommend this.
Also, if you weren't lifting weights while you lost, it might help to start now to replace any muscle you could have lost while losing.
Thank you! :) I started eating to a reduced calorie plan in December 2008 as I was fed up of feeling tubby, but joined on here February 2009 as keeping a hand written food diary was hassle compared to just keying it in online. I started on 1600 calories per day then dropped to 1300 after I had lost a stone (14 pounds). I have currently adjusted that to 1350 calories per day as I do want to lose a little bit more in a sensible time frame, but not anything more than another 7lbs else my clothes won't fit!
I feel a lot happier about the way I look now and have dropped 2 dress sizes which is nice, but I would like to be a little bit slimmer. My work colleagues have said I look great as I am now and shouldn't expect to be the size I was when I was younger now at my age. However I would feel better a little bit thinner :) I must confess the only exercise I get is at work, which is very little, so I haven't been doing an weights or anything like that.
It really is surprising how differently people treat you when you slim down a lot, especially the opposite sex. It's nice to receive lots of compliments of course and people keep asking me how I did it so I give them this website address as I honestly don't think anything else would have worked for me :)
Wow, a thousand times congratulations on reaching your goal! That's terrific news =)
I must agree with everything else that has already been said here. If you are comfortable with your weight there is no need to proceed, and by 30 you shouldn't feel the need to obtain a weight you had a decade prior; however, if you would feel more comfortable with a bit more weight off, you are clearly knowledgeable about how to do it effectively and you're in the clear to make it happen.
Best of luck, and congratulations again!
Thank you Valor :) Oh I wouldn't say I was knowledgeable about weight loss at all. The following of a strict amount of calories per day thing really seemed to work for me, so I was lucky. I actually quite enjoy totting up my foods via a online list so have made it a permanent habit so I always know what I'm eating calorie wise :)
I do have little treats here and there, but takeaways have been permanently removed from my diet as they contributed heavily to my weight gain previously.
Why do I get bad cramps after I eat?
Suspect lactose intolerance when abdominal cramps are a problem, especially after breakfast when milk products are consumed. Lactose... Read more
