 per this site's recommendation I should consume 112 oz of water a day.  My personal goal is to drink 64 oz of 'pure water" a day.  I drink caffeine free sodas to make up more than 112 oz plus the 20% found in foods - so my goal is 64 oz.

A trick I do to make sure I drink my 64 oz of water is I went to the local "water mart" and bought some 1/2 gallon containers I fill them 1/2 way up each night and put that in the freezer tilted to when the water freezes and expands it doesn't bust the container ( you do have to replace every couple months cuz the seams do start to leak) then each morning I fill the rest with water and take it to work.  I drink from it through out the day and then try to drink at least 1/2 of it by the time I leave work.  On days I excercise after work I have no problem drinking the rest by the time I get home from working out.    With the Ice in it it keeps it chilled all day.
i'm listed at 128 ounces of water also...methinks they might be pushing their water with that calculator
Funny thing, I actually drink more than the calculator suggests for me.  It says 88 a day, I've already had 96 today and that's pre-workout.  :)  But, my body responds well to this amount, so I'll stick with it I think. 
Every water calculator I could find puts me at at least 120 ounces.  Put me down for 128 ounces =D
It says I should have 96, but I am going to start with 64 also :)
I am starting off with 8 eight oz glasses of water per day.  I only have about 2 eight oz glassess per day now, so I think 64 oz will be a great starting point for me.   Good Luck everyone :)
Remember that the oz of water that one test calculates is really "liquid" and accoriding to the Mayo site 20% of your water comes from foods eaten   I strictly am logging my "water" and 64 oz of water is pretty easy.

I am in for the water and I will start the Excercise Challenge as well!

The aquasana site says I should be drinking *16* 8-oz glasses of water.  If I do that many I will FLOAT.  I am regularly drinking 8-10 now, so I think I'll stick with that for the time being.

So I guess in ounces, that would be 80 (for 10 glasses)??

Hey united, I'll join for the moral support if you guys would like.  But honestly, except for this past weekend when I was in a car for too many hours and didn't want to have to stop often, I haven't had less than 100 ounces of water a day in weeks.  That's always my goal, over 100.  Yesterday I had 136.  So I'll join for support, but I'm not sure it's really a 'challenge' for me, since it's already a habit I've developed.  Heck, I get thirsty now if I don't have my 100 ounces, my body has gotten so adapted to it.  :)
OK - I'm in on this one too.  Water and exercise for January.... that's what I'll work on first.

It says I need 16 8-ounce glasses a day or 128 oz/day (or 3.75 liters/day)

I usually drink 3 liters a day, so getting another .75 should be doable.

So that makes my water goals  896 oz/week and 3968 oz/month of Jan.

or 26.25 liters/week, 116.25 liters / month of Jan.

Im in on average I drink about 96 oz of water a day.  I track it daily too so this shouldn't be too bad.
I'm in.  I already started a few days ago and I am in the bathroom constantly.  I've been doing my required 64 oz for the last few days, so I will step it up a notch and shoot for 80oz/day.
i'd like to hop on board with this as well! the calculator recommended 80 oz/day, so that's where i'll start. :)
Well, it told me to drink around 96 ounces, and I already try to do that, so I'll keep it up if I can still join? ^^;;
