does anybody else nibble straight from jars and such? I've just eaten a ton of antipasti straight from the jar - sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms and the like...
who else does this? what do you eat?
ooh, and is antipasti whoppingly high in calories or not? I'm not too sure, cos it's veggies but they're bathing in oil...

OMG peanut butter or any nut butter. I can't stop. I've tried putting it on toast or apples to portion it out like people on here have suggested but it doesnt work. I'll put it on the toast and then have spoonfuls on the side. and when I'm done I'll pull it out of the pantry and tell myself just one more spoonful and I'll put it away and even make it out of the kitchen...but then I say oh well, just one more...and then one more....and more....
I can probably attribute a large portion of my weight gain to this, but I've made myself really sick this way :\
so i used to but then it caused me to restrict later on so i told myself i NEED to take some out, put therest of the food away, and then i can eat it. i still sometiems sttruggle w/ it but preportioning it helps me to eat the right amount at least, i think! lol PB and cereal tho-yum!
Peanut Butter, I can't belive its not butter, jelly - anything I could eat standing up and not make a mess so my wife wouldn't know I was sneaking something...
That was before I got my mind around having to stop all that junk in order to stay healthy.
I eat peanut butter form the jar almost every day. it fits into my calories and satifies me...I consider it a treat.
Here is something to think about...if the human mouth contains (on average) 300 germs, why would you use a spoon, stick it in your mouth and then back into the jar. For your health and safety you should take out your portion and eat it, if you want more then, use a clean utensil to take out another portion.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but . . . if the germs are already in your mouth, and you're the only one who ever eats from the jar, does it really matter?

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
