Jaw Dropping Recipe Analysis
I always try to make my bf and his roommate a treat whenever I go up to visit, as sort of a thank you for allowing me to further crowd your tiny dorm room.
Last week was 12 mini peanut butter pies and one medium sized one
this week Im making caramel/chocolate bars with a graham cracker crust
and just for fun I plugged it into the recipe analyzer, and divided it by 8 servings (recipe says 6-8, but even 1/8 of the recipe is large...but theyre boys)
and it is 794 CALORIES A SERVING
and I even used light cream instead of heavy cream
oh my dear lord I shall be avoiding it like the plague!
I'm sure it is delicious, though. I bet your boy and his roomie look forward to your visits! :D
I hope its delicious. Im at school so I dont have my candy thermometer and I just had to guess when the caramel reached 230 degrees.
Carmel, graham crackers, peanute butter..... YUM!!! All good just by themselves!
Poke~, just an FYI, you don't need a candy thermometer. All you need is a cup of ice water. After the caramel, or other candy, has boiled for a little bit, put a couple of drops of it into the ice water then after about 30 seconds, take it out and check the consistency. You'll be able to quickly tell if it's soft ball, hard ball, or just runny and undercooked. Plus you get to give it a taste test!
Keep feeding those fella's treats and you're going to be the most popular girlfriend on campus!
