Jell-O Cake....how do I make it?
I want to make Jell-O cake but don't know exactly how to make it. I would like to make it with sugar free jello but don't know how many packages to use and how much water.
Thanks!
I'm not quite sure what you mean by Jell-O cake - like an icebox cake? http://loafoflove.blogspot.com/2009/06/lemon- icebox-cake.html
I know what your talking about. My mom has made these b4 and they are awsome. But I dont know how she made it. You can probably google it and find a recipe or maybe jell-o has one of their site.
I know how :) It is super easy to do....Just use 2 small boxes of any flavor jello...and 1/2 the water you are supposed to use. Just use the hot water to disolve it, and don't add the cold. You pour this while still hot onto a cooled cake. Just make sure you poke holes in the cake by taking a fork and poke the cake and gently pull it apart in lines across the cake...then the jello will go into the cake more. Chill it for a few hours and then top with cool whip.
I made one with orange flavored sugar free jello, and a can of mandrain oranges.....I just mixed the oranges with the hot jello and made sure they were even on top of the cake....It was HEAVEN!
I also LOVE it with strawberry jello....
So, when can we come over??
These are called Poke Cakes because you poke them to death then pour on the liquid.
Cook's Country did an episode on this:

I love Poke Cake.. you can also get the recipe at jello.com.
you can cut the calories too, by using a fat free cake mix, sugar free jello and low fat whipped cream. Great hot weather cake!
Thanks for the Jello cake recipe! It turned out great!!!!
