Jessica Alba's diet plan

Quote  |  Reply

I recently came across an article that talked about Jessica's meal/ work out plan pre-baby

Here it is:

Breakfast- Egg whites & 1 piece of fruit

Lunch- Salad

Dinner- Steamed veggies & 1 piece of chicken breast

Snacks- Little pieces of dried fruit throughout the day

Exercise- 45 minutes on the elliptical everyday & strength training

Now.. I don't think there's any way she could have been eating more than 1200.

Eating disorder status? I know she's not blessed with "celebrity genes" because she said that her entire family is overweight, and the reason why she watches what she eats is because she doesn't want to end up like them.

The interesting thing would be to find out what her weekly diet looked like.   Certainly that's not the whole plan.  But you have to give her credit for keeping a healthy (not anorexic) consistent weight.  I think that actors and actresses have it a little easier than us in that they have to keep up with their daily workouts as a part of their careers.  No such luck the rest of us.

Oh, and, I think she's a great actress.  Dark Angel was such a cool series.  I am not at all surprised to see the jealous ones retract their claws a bit and show their true colors...

 bwahahahahahahaahahahahaha LMFAO.

Have you seen Into the Blue?

I think she's annoying because she makes horrible comments about her own ethnicity.  Sorry but anyone that puts their own ethnic group is not cool in my book.

She is gorgeous and does look healthy and have a great body though. I'll give her that.  But she still sucks pretty bad.

I saw her on some awards show where she won something and she was such a bitch - throwing it in some classmate's face that shes pretty and successful

eh well I definitely wouldn't call it jealousy thats for sure. Shes a very attractive young woman, but I can't stand her as an actress...i don't think that makes me jealous. we'll agree to disagree.

I don't think she looked healthy at all. You should see her pictures before she got pregnant.. she was super thin!

If her entire family suffers from obesity, then there's NO way she could have been that skinny if she didn't have some sort of eating disorder.

I wouldnt call it an eating disorder.

And my boyfriend said she has herpes. lol

all of those actor/singer/model (and even athletes, oftentimes) diet and exercise regimens are totally written by their PR person.  for all we know, she's running 20 miles a day and living on cigarettes and coffee.

I don't think she has an eating disorder, she just stays really skinny like most actresses. I don't think "celebrity genes" exist anyway. That's how they do it, super strict diet and lots of exercise! (Well, or drugs). At least she is honest about it.

Ooops this accidentally posted twice for some reason!

No, She's been diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa. She has an eating disorder. No sugar coating it with this bull about 'She has a strict diet plan and exercise regime'. Sure, actors/actresses do have rather strict ways of life, but Don't feed information that she doesn't have an ED when she has admitted to it.

She did say she used to have an eating disorder and maybe she had one then.. We don't know do we? But my only point is that most actresses have to eat like they have an eating disorder to be that thin!

But my only point is that most actresses have to eat like they have an eating disorder to be that thin!

then wouldn't, by default, most actresses have an eating disorder?

Who cares what kind of an actress she is?  She's obviously doing something right to keep so fit looking.

I think most celebrities have an eating disorder to some degree. Maybe it's not full blown anorexia nervosa, but it's close.

I mean, why is it that famous people all seem to be glamorously thin.. while the rest of America are nearing obesity? These are not "normal" people. They are always under the spot light, so they are often pressured to stay skinny!

Look at britney spears.. when the world found out that she gained weight, everyone started saying how disgustingly fat she looked. Being fat and being famous just doesn't go well together.

you're crazy.  dark angel was a cool concept, but that doesn't say anything about jessica alba's acting ability.  she sucks.

i have zero tolerance for actors who can't act.  there are plenty of other jobs where looking pretty is enough.  and there are plenty of people who actually can act, and who should be getting the roles that hollywood gives to losers like jessica alba.

Jingleduck -Who cares what kind of an actress she is?  She's obviously doing something right to keep so fit looking.

Wait... what? i'm sorry, but since when did looking like you eat less than a starving child in Africa equate being 'fit' and 'Healthy'?

I'm going to rant here, heads up.

People! Just SAY you like an actor/actress because they're ATTRACTIVE or you think they're HOT. You aren't fooling anyone by trying to defend their acting skills! Case in point- Jessica Alba. People said she did FANTASTIC work in Sin City. OK, she had about THREE lines in Sin City, she shook her goods the rest of her scenes. Dark Angel, Sure, it was a concept from a comic book, she was just spewing out lines with no true feeling/belief. To me, to be an actor/actress at ALL is to deliver a role believably, not be some mindless puppet to the Directors whims.

This isn't just for Alba. Halle Berry. She's attractive, but I wouldn't go as far to say she's the worlds greatest actress in the whole world. American culture equates too much to being 'thin and beautiful' into having 'talent'. Just because someone looks good naked - or half naked- doesn't automatically make them Oscar worthy.

lol it's funny how this forum went from discussing Jessica Alba's diet to her acting abilities.

well, when you call yourself an "actor" you kind-of open yourself up to that kind of criticism.  besides, trying to say that she's not cute really would sound like jealousy ;)
