Hello all.

I am an ASU student and employee. Yesterday I tried on a pair of pants... in the next size up. I know it's nothing to freak out about, but if you know my genes, you'll know it's a slippery slope that starts around now and ends with me being frumpy and pair shaped. I refuse to let that happen! Especially since I'm getting married in 2 1/2 years and need to look my best! :D

So ANYWAY (sorry for the ramble), that's me. :)

Hey Jetti,

Names Melinda. I've been around this site forever it seems. I lost 175lbs, maintained it for 2 years, and then gained 24lbs recently when I got laid off (over the last 4 months I've been an eating machine!!!). My jean size went up too, and I know how easy I can lose sight of my health and let it skyrocket back up to the 300lb person I was.

I work right on Mill ave. You work ASU? That's like.. right there :) On my lunch break I power walk by the lake with my heart rate monitor and audio books to try and help bring down the waistline. I actually just looked at the scale today to notice my up weight, and today is the day I start to lose this dang weight!

Let me know whats happening :)

Hi Jetti,

Like you, I was depressed when I had to buy jeans in a larger size, is so traumatic. Also like you I am an employee and student of a local university. Not easy to jugle full time school and full time work, and also I added a part time business.

We all have stories to tell, and is good that we can chat here in this site, please tell me about your progress - when I started here in 10/31/2009 I was 175 and today I am 167.3. I had weight myself in the middle of October and had been 176.5 so today I'm almost 10 lbs lighter - I am grateful for that, so lets keep the conversation going.
