Jillian Michaels 30-day Shred
I LOVE this program. I only bought the DVD. I'm following my own diet (which isn't very strict, just sensible). I'm on Day 6. I've lost 3 lb so far! I'm already seeing an improvement in muscle tone in my thighs and arms. I can't wait to see where I am in 24 more days!! This is exactly the butt-kicking that I needed to get me motivated and back on track!
So yeah, that sounds like an ad. I apologize. But that's honestly truthfully how I feel about it so far!

hi there everyone, i also do the 30-day Shred daily and have had great muscle definition & toning. i have slimmed down a bit, but feel like i could use some additional cardio outside of the video (i love cardio!) Level 3 is absolutely great!! kicks my butt everytime. sometimes i attempt to complete levels 2 & 3 w/out breaking for a 40 min workout as mentioned above.

I just completed my 8th workout, i try to do every other day or 3 times a week. It still kills me and I alternate between 1 and 3 depending on my energy level. On my off days I do the elliptical some and it seems to be working for the most part. I know that it isn't hurting anything!!! I seem to try and actually keep my cals around 1400 or so and have been doing a decent job. The workout kicks my butt and it is great inspiration to watch my diet, I tell myself you are kicking your butt when your working out why would you want to mess up that progress by eating that ...cookie,brownie, whatever... so far I have done pretty good and even though I am not home right now and able to use my own scale i feel that I have lost a little or maybe just toned up a little my clothes seem to fit differently. Maybe its all in my head??? who knows but it is great motivation to keep on going!!!! Good luck to you all!!!

My DVD arrived yest., I tired it out today.. Its really tough, but i have a doubt, how you are supposed to go from level 1 to 2 to 3. You just do how much you can or is there a system. I just did level 1 today and so for tommorow shall I do level 1 and 2 and progress like tat???????????????

hey appz, not really sure if there is a rhyme or reason to it. I, myself just kind of progressed at my own pace. I have done them all but never 2 in one day, I am not ready for that yet :) Good luck to you and I hope I helped a little! Just my 2 cents....

Thanks Amy! Will do that, progress on my own pace.. I feel Jillian should have given a system or atleast a method for beginners.. Yeah I have also not tried 2 togther till now, have serious doubt on my ability to do that

Appz, no prob! How are you doing on it? I just got done doing workout 3, man it kicks my butt EVERYTIME, but I LOVE how i feel when I am done! Don't you love that feeling of accomplishment??? Hope you are doing well and like it!
I lovvvve this workout!!! I couldn't walk the next day or put on my jeans--I was that sore. I workout regularly but was just doing the same old elliptical and treadmill routine and was getting no results. She is so motivating. She is no joke and tells you the entire time that you have to WORK for it. I like that about her. No one needs a 'warm and fuzzy' trainer. I've been doing it for 2 weeks and lost 4 lbs. I need to work on diet now to shed more so that is why I just joined this site. I do want to know how many calories it burns but I guess it all depends on your own weight and size etc. I just figure 200 for the 20 minute workout. It's pretty intense.
I just got the new BodyBugg and used it during the first 20 minute video and it said I burned 220 calories or 11 cal/min. I am 5'6" and 160 lbs and my intensity level was somewhere in between the two girls in the back (not beginner but not way advanced).
I got this DVD a while ago, tried it and set it aside. New years came and I really need to get into shape. I've been doing it now every morning before work for 2 weeks. I can totally notice a difference, I am down 5lbs, and down a good amount of inches as well. When I started it 2 weeks ago I could barley keep up with level 1...I had to keep stoping and catching my breath, now I am on level 2, and love it! I was soar for about a week, but kept doing it....I cant wait to see how I look in another month of doing this everyday. I am not a fit person, although when I start a workout I tend to stick to it. Jillian keeps me motivated and I like how there are 3 levels. Wow- I've read some of your posts, some of you do 2 of them togehter? that'd be a great 40 minutes...hopefully I'll get to that point, but for now, level 2 is kicking my butt daily!!!
I am doing this too. The first time I did it I was so sore the next day that I couldn't move/sit/walk but by now I don't really get sore but it still has me out of breath and sweating so bad. She has two new dvds coming out this coming week - they are 45 minutes and she said on her radio show that they are both great and that the titles were created by marketing people so not to get too hung up on them. I think I'll get it even if I'll probably be completely winded half way through!
I've been doing this for 2 weeks now, I'm on day 14...I've been doing level 2 for 7 days now and am loving it. I can see a small difference in my body, especially my middle. I'm beginning to look more toned. I ordered her two new DVDs already off Amazon, I can't wait for them to get here!!! I've lost 2 lbs since doing this.... :)

I have been doing this work out since Feb 12th, today will be day 11 due to taking a day here and there for company and sick kid. I was running about 12-15 miles a week for 3 months prior to starting and this workout has me dripping sweat. Today will be my first day on level 3. I have lost 4 lbs and the "back bra fat" is gone! I just can't believe how much stronger I feel in just 10 workouts. I am trying to get friends and family into it but not going so well. ![]()
I love it, love it, love it.. and can't wait to see the results when I finish workout 30.

awesome ~ i quit smoking valentines week, and started running this week daily ~ feel way better...
anyway.. i got the shred and i think i am going to start it monday ~ is it giving you muscle tone?

Did level three for the first time.. all I can say is.. wow.. kicked my butt hard core
today did level one for the third time...I did it first on sunday and couldn't walk for two days. Yesterday I could finally move so I did it, and then again today.
I know it might sound rediculous but I feel stronger already! I am using five pound weights and it's really kicking my butt. Sad part is, I can't even imagine being able to do level one with no stopping. I usually have to stop about 3-4 times throughout to just pause for a few seconds and get back into it. I hope that within two weeks or so I'll be able to do the whole thing and move up to level two. I lost a pound this week, which is more than usual so I'm not complaining.
So far, I love it. Besides not being able to walk for two days hahahah
Keep up the good work.. you will get there
