John Henry has arrived!

John Henry was born at 10:09am on 10/10/08 via c-section. He was 20.75 inches long and weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces. They had trouble getting him out and had to enlarge the original incision so I'm pretty sore but still up and about with no major pains (other than the pain of looking at my still-swollen belly). We had trouble getting him to breastfeed the first few days but he's eating like a champ now. Big sister is slowly adjusting and wants to help in any way she can. Feel free to check out his photos:

He is adorable!!! (He looked very angry in his first pic, it made me laugh!) I love the way newborns look, smell, feel :) Congratulations!!!

I didn't think it was possible for a women to look so put together during labor/delivery. Fabulous!! He's a keeper!!!!!

 Ah, see, my husband and father are always behind the camera snapping what seems like 100 photos a minute. Since my c-section wasn't until 9:30am, I was able to shower, put on makeup and do my hair since I figured I'd be in a million pictures!

I've been waiting for this thread!!!!! Yay! He's handsome. His first pic is hilarious. He has crazy Gary Busey hair. LOL! Your daughter is beautiful too. I'm so happy for you.

Congrats!  He is handsome!! :) Very cute!!  That is awesome that your hubby was able to take some pictures in the c-section room.  It isn't allowed at the hospital I will be at!  :D

That is so funny that his name is John Henry. My SO literally like 1 minute ago told me, "if baby is a boy we should name him John Henry." John is my Grandfather's name and Henry is his.
