I would love to get a group of people together to help motivate each other to lose around 25 lbs by the by the end of the year.  It really motivates me to see other really work for their goals.  As for me, I'm down almost 60 lbs from my heaviest but have been on a weight roller coaster for the last year. I have not been watching what I eat and have not been exercising. Like all of you I'm extremely busy and grabbing a burger for dinner is just easier than going home and cooking. Have I mentioned I hate exercising?

I would like to do weigh ins on Mondays. I am literally terrified to step on the scale to see what that dreaded number is. But I'm willing to do it if you are. Who is with me?

I would like to join too!  I've been a member for almost 4 years.  I lost nearly 40lbs.  I then got pregnant and had my first baby in Feb.  I only gained 23lbs.  I lost it all within 2 weeks - I loved it!  But...then life and baby got the best of me and I have gained the 20lbs back.  BOO.  I would love to lose 20lbs by Christmas.  My goal is 35 by April (my birthday). 

My current weight: 194.

Christmas goal weight: 174

April goal weight: 160.

Well I definitely want to join... after reading the posts here though I feel the farthest behind but I know that everyone if very supportive and all so I won't let it detour me. :) This time last year I was a marvelous 145lbs. Then I honestly have no idea what I did to throw me off the wagon but who cares! I'm geting back on.

So... here we go!

I've been a member for quite a while, but haven't really worked it the way I should.  This weekend I visited my daughter at college, and was completely disgusted with myself over how exhausted I was by all the walking around.  I need to drop 25 pounds and get back in some sort of decent shape again!

I weighed in this morning, and here are my stats:

Age: 48

Weight:  174.2

Height:  5'4"

My main weakness is that glass of wine when I get home from work, while I cook dinner, that turns into two glasses of wine and a little cheese and a few crackers to hold me over until we eat...you get the picture!

I've always done better with a little peer pressure, and this could be just what it takes to get me back on track...

My goal this week is to get more exercise, even if its just walking. I want to work my way up to running again.

This weekend I did not do so well. I was really good on Friday and Saturday, but totally lost it on Sunday.  I will also try to keep my snacking under control this week.

Well its been a long week and worked out alot and..

Unfortunatly My weekend overshadowed my good week and stayed at the 270 mark. Was hoping to finally see 260-something.. oh well another week will hopefully benifit better.

SOOOO glad to see the scale drop!  I've been putting in some serious workouts this week.  I was so worried that I wouldn't see a decrease but had to keep reminding myself that if I didn't see it, I'm still building muscle.

 Well well done you for keeping it stable despite the weekend, if you hadn't have done all that hard work, that would not have been possible, well done! Next week I'm sure it will be better :)

 What type of work outs do you do? I've been doing cardio and light weight lifting I even got a pt and I have gained 10lbs and I'm feeling pretty depressed. lol I mean I kno everyone is different, but this can't all be muscle gain. I have this wobbly bit of stomack thats now a pouch (i've never had a POUCH!)

I eat better than I have in months and still nothing is gone...

Whats your workout look like in a weeks span? Does anyone have a workout schedule that they have found that works well with a 9-5 (well in my case 730-430)?

Good for you, indiechica,  you stuck with it and persistance pays off!

Yesterday went well until dinner  time.  I had to work late and rush rush rush to meet the schedule planned for the evening.  I had:

lean pork loin

baked potato/shed spread

broccoli

messed up with swiss cheese while waiting for potato to cook

That is exactly the type of response that I'm trying to get rid of.

Sorry I am late, Didn't do the best this week but even a loss of .4 is better than a gain.  I have a long way to go for goal so small steps are good for me.

According to trend on here, should get there in 2012.  Actually hope it is a little sooner but know from experience there if I don't lose slow then I will gain it back plus.  Slow is working for me.  Haven't gained in 34 weeks but some weeks have been small.

Hi indiechica! Warning, I am totally babbling! :)

I have to admit that I have been VERY diligent about my workouts (a nice way to say obsessed!). I make a point of hitting the gym 6 out of 7 days.  2-3 days I do weight training with free weights and the various machines at the gym and I do cardio every time I go.  For example, Monday I work on my arms and abs and do a total of 30-60 minutes of cardio (mostly on the dreaded treadmill).  The next day is just cardio and the 3rd or 4th day is lower body and abs and cardio. I make sure to give my muscles a rest but I'm relentless with the cardio.  I am determined to be able to jog distance without keeling over so I've started interval walking and running.  Keep in mind that I'm not the most in shape person so it's been slow going.  I warm up for about 5-10 minutes on treadmill then stretch out.  I then starting alternating walking 3 minutes, running 1-3minutes, walking 3 minutes and back to running 1-3 minutes and so on.  When I first started a month ago, I could barely run for 30 seconds w/o wanting to die but now I'm up to running for 1-3 minutes. I'm working up the courage to take it outside and see how long/far I can run so I have a point of reference in the future.

I work from 8-530 in an office job that offers limited out-of-chair opportunities.  I rush home right after work to spend time with my little girl before she goes to bed.  The only way I'm able to make it to the gym is my husband's support.  He has no issues with staying home so I can go spend a couple hours at the gym after the baby goes down.  I could try to go in the mornings but I'm NOT a morning person.  Evenings are really the best time for me--exercising an hour or so before bed doesn't seem to affect me too much.

Your tummy will probably be the tough spot for you, as it is with me.  The trainer at my gym told me that we can work on our abs pretty much every day so I try to work in 2-3 different abs exercises every workout.  It's slow going but it's slowly shrinking.  Today is my first day in a new smaller size of pants!!

I want to join! I haven't worked out in over six months. I have been so busy with work, graduate school, etc. that I've simply been too tired. I need to get back in there so boost my self-esteem. I recently got married and want to do this for myself (and my hub--just a little).

I'd like to join.  Just starting week 4 of an 8 week running program from Runner's World but haven't lost a pound.  Maybe I should have taken my measurements as well.  I need a bit more accountability so maybe this will be it.  Plus I'm getting a bit down on myself which is wrong since I have been making progress and keeping up with the program.  Been a member of CC for 2 years.  Last year I lost 17 lbs and got to a low of 156.5 and here I am almost starting over. UGH!  Looking forward to the next few months.  Good luck to all Smile

don't worry one bit the  more blab the more info!

I have been waking up at 5am everyday (minus a week ago when I was sick) and hit the gym from 5:30 or 6am to 7am unless its the weekend when i get in at 9am until about 11. usually i have breakfast in the car on the way to gym like a granola bar an a ottle of h2o or some fruit. I do and hour cardio with 3 diff machines so i don't burn out on one and get too bored. like 20 min jogg on tred. 20min oliptical. and 20-30 min on the bikes. in intervuls between weights of lunges and sqwats then i do weights and work an my arms and back for about 30 min or so. then go to work. i snack all day cause i sit all day and to take a lunch (i work for the gov't) is like wasting a day of work. (ie we're always catching up lol) After work i get home and feed the kitty lol (she's my little girl :)) and then jog in my neighborhood at least 2 miles in my neighborhood and when get home and do ab work. while dinner is cooking or i'm thinking of what to eat. this is 2 months now... and i have only gained weight... (the m&m's at work have been tempting me to the max. so i kno I really need to stop that lol) but thank you! You really have motivated me hx to get my butt (and tummy) into high gear and push myself. maybe i ust havent ade my body sweat enough for it to realize this is serious. lol

Sorry for the late weigh in - I take a class on Monday's and weigh in on Tuesday's.  I hope that's ok...

Not happy with where I was today - 194.  Nothing budged on the scale.  I'm taking a body pump class twice a week and I'm wondering if that's why I have stalled out for the past 2 weeks...at least that's what I keep telling myself...building muscle adds weight.  I hope everyone has a good week!
