My name is Andria and I'm definitely new to this site. My daughter turned me onto it this afternoon when we were discussing weight loss. I definitely need to lose weight. My ultimate goal is a loss of 158 lbs for now. But, since that's such a big undertaking, I'm trying to break it down into 30# increments. I lost over 100 pounds on weight watchers a few years ago but long story short, I gained it back...or most of it. So, I'm starting fresh and hope to have dropped at least 100 pounds by my 40th birthday in March of 2009.
I like the 30 pound increments. Way easier to visualize. You will like it here. Nice people, good advice (mostly), and some fun pictures...Just avoid advice from crazy people named Chrissie (wait...that's me)

This is my first attempted at dieting. I'm 5 foot nothing and my wieght which is normally around 115lbs has crept up to 160lbs. I just turned 30 and I know that my bad eating habits have finally caught up to me. So this is my funeral for all the bad things...goodbye cokecola.....good bye sugar in my coffee....good bye mars bars. Good luck to everyone.
That's a good way to deal with it... I'm trying to lose 75 lbs by next year (to bring me down to around 145) so I'm making my big celebration points every 25 pounds.

Welcome to he newer members :) I've only been here a week, but I have found that every tool given to us on this site helps - The forums for motivation and celebrations, the journal for angst, personal notes, or just to talk about what you thought about the day, the calorie counter and burn meter, for obvious reasons!
Surf around and try each tool once, you may come to love them as I do :)
My goal for a week from now is to start using the day-to-day exercise planner!
