Hello. I will try to keep this short....1998/320 lbs. (freak out, start walking) 2001/275 lbs. (try crash diet, lose 50 lbs) last part of 2001/223lbs. ( start eating again, 50 comes back) 2005/275 lbs. (cut sugar out of tea and pop- lose 25lbs) end of 2005/250lbs, holiday season 2007 gain 10 lbs, start of 2008/260lbs......fed up with feeling and looking like crap....started a life change on Jan. 1 2008. Eating healthy foods and exercising all I can, losing the weight slow and hopefully for good this time. Cravings still there at times, emotional eating hard to overcome(didn't realize how much of that I actually did) As of today 3-18-2008/235 lbs and proud of every pound gone! My health was  in real trouble- bp 160/90 (now130/75) b. sugar 200-250 (now 100-125), heart had "flutters" all the time, still does just not as frequent. I am sick of the roller coaster and I'm getting off.

I have started losing weight only to fall of the wagon so many times that I can't count them.  I usually end up gaining more than I started with in the end.

I have been so depressed about this for so long that I don't remember the last time that I was really happy.  I am slowly gaining some of that back.

I have lost enough weight now that I am where I was four years ago before I quit.  I am not going to quit this time because I think I finally am fed up and have hit the bottom and no way to go but up now.

I have lost 42.2 pounds since January 12th and I am also proud of what I have accomplished.  It is not always easy but it is worth it and I will reach my goal weight some day and let everyone know that I mean business this time.

I think the difference this time is that I realize there is no quick fix that this is for the rest of my life and I have accepted that and have peace of mind with it.

Good luck and lets get it done.

How often should you eat during the day?

It is neither necessary to eat every two hours nor to stop eating at 6:00 PM. As long as your calorie intake is less than your output... Read more
